If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Liz Mair requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. PamD 10:20, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Template:Kamala Harris series. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Please don't replace images of Kamala Harris with an image of wrestler James "Kamala" Harris. Thanks. Paintspot Infez (talk) 20:14, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is a protest of the removal of the link to wrestler Kamala from the page.
While I understand that (and I too am on the fence about whether the hatnote should be there or not), vandalism is not the best way to have a discussion about it. Paintspot Infez (talk) 20:19, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Don't disrupt Wikipedia to make a point, Byzantine Scholar. If you do something like this again you will be blocked from editing. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 20:28, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Alert[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

I added an image of a politican. Are Australian politicans not allowed on the page?--Byzantine Scholar (talk) 01:55, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I admit I went about it the wrong way and I won't do it again but my protest against the exclusion of Kamala was an IAR situation. The claim I created an attack page is not true. I created a tribute to Kamala on my userpage. Please unblock.

Decline reason:

You have been blocked for the sum total of your edits, which are not good. 1) redirecting a person's page to Caitlyn Jenner; 2) Replacing an encyclopedic image of politicians with a member of the Australian Sex party (which I hope you can understand why that was problematic); 3) And of course replacing the image of Kamala Harris with the other Kamala Harris, which was not particularly mature. Please address your edits, and how you will be constructive in the future if unblocked. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 06:07, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Four years ago I created a page for Liz Mair as a redirect to Caitlin Jenner after Mair made transphobic comments on the Bill Maher Show. I understand this was the wrong thing to do and I now regret making the edit. I've explained the edit to Kamala Harris and I won't take that route again. As for the politician page, I replaced an image of public officials (not necessarily politicians) in the infobox with the image of a genuine politican who happens to be a sex worker. Politicans have been compared to sex workers for "selling themselves" to the public. I think the characterization of politicians as akin to sex workers is prevalent and common. Therefore an image of politician who is also a sex worker presenting herself in a way to "sell herself" is appropriate.Byzantine Scholar (talk) 18:56, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to build articles on which I am interested and knowledgeable which is wrestling and sex workers, particularly the intersect between the two and politics. Byzantine Scholar (talk) 19:11, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

August 2020[edit]

A page you created has been nominated for deletion as an attack page, according to section G10 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

Do not create pages that attack, threaten, or disparage their subject or any other entity. Attack pages and files are not tolerated by Wikipedia, and users who create or add such material may be blocked from editing. General Ization Talk 01:58, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Kamala (wrestler). Why can't I honor him on my userpage?
Because you don't have a userpage any more. General Ization Talk 02:06, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
How is a tribute to Kamala an attack page?
General Ization, I also fail to see how that was a personal attack? Did I miss something? CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 06:02, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps not "a personal attack", but definitely "trolling". --Calton | Talk 06:07, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Start here, and again here. Note also that the caption of the image did not refer to "Kamala" or to "James Harris", but to "Kamala Harris", a name the wrestler never used. I should think it pretty obvious what is going on here. Note also the editor's familiarity with terms such as IAR and I think we can assume they have been this way before.
