Speedy deletion of Asian american media[edit]

A tag has been placed on Asian american media, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Center for Asian American Media. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. About "Conflict of Interest"[edit]

Thanks for being honest about who you represent! Wikipedia has guidelines to help editors who may have a conflict of interest (COI) with the articles they're editing. You'll find them at WP:COI. The goal is not to drive you off - and I apologise in advance if any editor makes you feel unwelcome here - but to ensure that Wikipedia articles are written from a neutral point of view (see WP:NPOV for more on that). Thank you for your help. I do not have any intentions at all of self promotion of the organization and I apologize if the editorial reflected this. I fully intend to abide by COI guidelines. I do need help in writing about the organization without having a bias. Or, I can always leave my own disclaimer and say that I am associated with the organization. Thank you and please advise. I agree with Toddst1; however, assuming that you are going to write on this subject, I recommend that you read Wikipedia:Neutral Point of View, especially the sections titled "A simple formulation" (shortcut:WP:ASF) and "Attributing and substantiating biased statements" (shortcut:WP:SUBSTANTIATE) both of which will help to (a) ensure neutrality and (b) satisfy our verifiability policy (which says, essentially, that Wikipedia content has to come from reliable sources). Thank you for your help Sheffield. I would like to know how I could go about existing in some form on wikipedia. Would you be able to help me structure at least one or two sentences describing The Center for Asian American Media in a neutral way. For example would "The Center for Asian American Media (formerly NAATA) was created in 1980. Its mission is to support Asian American Media. It is also the host of the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival."

Would something as basic as this be able to live on wikipedia? Please advise.
