Thank you for your patience with the process. —Elipongo (Talk contribs) 02:54, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
To answer your question as to what OTRS is, see Wikipedia:OTRS and Wikipedia:Permissions. If you send a permissions email from your official email address (commercial domain) you can add something like {{PermissionOTRS-ID}} to your images (or rather an OTRS volunteer will tag your images) and it should prevent your images from being deleted from Wikipedia. Also please consider directly uploading your contributions to Wikimedia Commons which provides freely licensed images to Wikipedias in all languages. It is likely your images will end up being transferred there anyway. -N 02:22, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
To alert you, we have had a discussion of this issue at the Administrator's noticeboard and consider the copyright status unclear to problematic. Please see the discussion there for further details. I'll take a look at WP:PUI and possibly put this note there as well. Wikidemo 20:50, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Username Concern[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

Let me reassure you that my writing here means I don't think your username is grossly, blatantly, or obviously inappropriate; such names get reported straight to Wikipedia:Usernames for administrator attention or blocked on sight. This is more a case where opinions might differ, and it would be good to reach some consensus — either here or at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/User names. So I look forward to a friendly discussion, and to enjoying your continued participation on Wikipedia. Thank you. -- But|seriously|folks  18:40, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

With regards to my username. Since I am the webmaster for PersonalityPhotos, Inc. website Personalityphotos.com and a minor partner as well, I thought that rather than using my name I would use the moniker of who we are. We have at no time aded the apelation .com to our user name nor tried to indicate who we are in our postings, we have only limited such details on our photo upload page and only to clarify the photo's provenance. Our main contribution to the boards has been photos since that is our business. I am also a photographer in my own right as well. We are currently awaiting a decision with regards to our photographic contributions and copyright issues which we are trying to aleviate via the issuance of our license to wikipedia. The discussion can be found atWikipedia:Possibly unfree images--PersonalityPhotos 15:52, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I am aware of the possible contributions and copyright issues. If it wasn't for your generous offer, I would have blocked your username immediately per policy. Please don't take offense to this, but the inclusion of company names and website names in usernames is not permitted. I recommend that you switch to a different username voluntarily before someone blocks your name. You can retain your contributions if you follow the procedure laid out here. Thanks and good luck! -- But|seriously|folks  16:15, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:OZ-07.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:OZ-07.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 12:37, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Image:JDEAN1.jpg[edit]

A tag has been placed on Image:JDEAN1.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I8 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is available as a bit-for-bit identical copy on the Wikimedia Commons under the same name, or all references to the image on Wikipedia have been updated to point to the title used at Commons.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[Talk:Image:JDEAN1.jpg|the article's talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Unspecified source for Image:Lucy10.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Lucy10.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:44, 31 December 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 02:44, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
