Serie C[edit]

Good work, man! Now the Italian football on this Wikipedia looks much better... --Angelo 19:02, 18 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop moving football clubs - the moves are good, but you are ging them the wrong way - and admins are haveing to fix it.. Look at WP:MOVE - you need to use the move option in the tab - and not cut and paste - cut and pastes don't take the edit history wih them and thus violate the GDFL copyright terms. --Doc (?) 10:12, 28 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

sorry - that should be Help:Renaming (moving) a page --Doc (?) 10:14, 28 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

San Marino newly created clubs pages[edit]

please check Category:Sammarinese football clubs. There are already articles on few clubs. --Monkbel 12:20, 7 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Could you mark newly created pages with stubs and categories? Thanks. You can check as I did it for F.C. Domagnano. --Monkbel 12:24, 7 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Don't forget to fix double redirects[edit]

Don't forget to fix double redirects after moving and merging pages, creating redirects, please. Thank you. --Monkbel 10:13, 9 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Football teams names[edit]

Whay are you changing the names of the football teams? AS Roma is not Roma, just as it is UC Sampdoria, not Sampdoria.--Panairjdde 10:26, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The box on the right should report the oficial name. Just like Italy has "Repubblica Italiana" on the top of its infobox. Furthermore, did you discuss somewhere this change, or started editing on your own?--Panairjdde 10:32, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Image CSDs[edit]

The images you tagged as candidates for speedy deletion aren't CSDs. If anything list them on Wikipedia:Images for deletion. — Phil Welch Katefan's ridiculous poll 20:51, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

PNG versus JPEG[edit]

Hi, could you please not save JPEG images directly in the PNG format and re-upload them here. They take a lot more space as PNG's, because of the artifacts left in the image by the previous JPEG compression. If you can obtain the images from an originally PNG source, then it should be OK. –Mysid 12:09, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Image tags[edit]

Hi! You seem to be uploading a lot of sports logos, so I thought i'd imform you about the new template {{sports-logo}}, which puts them into the correct category. SeventyThree(Talk) 19:25, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spezia Calcio[edit]

The 1943/1994 triumph of Spezia is considered a "war times scudetto"; it is not officially counted amongst the regular scudetti, but it is anyway recognized by the FIGC (Italian Football Federation) [1] [2] [3]. --Angelo 11:58, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Football Kit[edit]

What exactly are you having probkems with? --Boothy443 | trácht ar 09:00, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Whats the team page? --Boothy443 | trácht ar 09:26, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I looks like it should be working now, probley was a internal problem, wiki gets a bit wacked when it comes to images. --Boothy443 | trácht ar 09:32, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No problems, not like i did anything. Sometimes with images, espically with new ones, you have to wait a bit for it to work properly. --Boothy443 | trácht ar 09:49, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Seborga[edit]

I deleted Seborga from Flags of unrecognized states because although it is a 'principality' the article explicity states they inhabitants conform to Italian rule. The page, as far as I can see, is for states seeking independence and Seborga does not really apply here. --Horses In The Sky 17:29, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please see my reply there. Thanks. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 16:14, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Serie D[edit]

Definitely. You can see both the team websites and this article for more information. --Angelo 10:59, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Serie C[edit]

Thanks for the improvement to the playoff/playout paragraph. I noticed that your reference to extra time play in case of a tie has disappeared. I thought it was a good point. --User:juveboy 2:52, 23 June 2006

Please see my reply there. Thanks.

Succession Boxes[edit]

Thanks for adding these, but please remember that comic book series' titles are italicized. I've just spent at least half an hour or so trying to fix these. --Chris Griswold 04:29, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Football clubs[edit]

The point I suppose the point would be keeping in line with the manual of style. While it is often the case that the most common name is used to title articles, it is not always (e.g. Kleenex refers to the company and brand name, not just any generic facial tissue.) -Justin (koavf)·T·C·M 11:22, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dots I personally don't have that much invested in it; if it is common to name them "F.C. Name" instead of "F. C. Name," that's fine. The only thing that I really can't handle is them being inconsistently named (which they were, due to my carelessness.) -Justin (koavf)·T·C·M 13:36, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:Catarrhal Noise live.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Catarrhal Noise live.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Concerning Basame el cueo[edit]

Thank you, CapPixel, for your contributions. I thought that Basame el cueo was a very well done album article. I wanted to tell you, the main contributor to Basame el cueo and Basame el cueo Duplison Platinum Edition 2006, that I found reason to merge Basame el cueo Duplison Platinum Edition 2006 into Basame el cueo. The two articles were almost exactly the same, with the former having slightly different facts, which I merged into the latter. Again, thank you very much for your contributions. If you have any concerns about my merger, please post them on my talk page. --Iamunknown 01:31, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Serie Results Templates[edit]

Just like to say thanks for adding 3 seasons worth of results in the templates. After doing the 2005/2006 results I know how much hard work is envloved in them. Niall123 09:04, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Project Italian Football[edit]

Just to say that we have started a project page on Italian football at Wikipedia:WikiProject Italian Football. You'd be welcome to join up. Niall123 14:06, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Cap. Any chance of backing me up on Template:Serie A. SOme guy keeps changing the header to white and it looks awful. Niall123 00:44, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Just to say that's some incredible going on the past seasons. I'll try to work backwards from the 1991 season and meet you somewhere in between if I have the time. Niall123 23:47, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Just to say to keep an eye out on the Serie A seasons. SOme guy keeps trying to change it to lump all the divisions into one. I personally want to keep them seperate per the templates. Niall123 17:42, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Any chance of popping into the talk section of the October Serie A results page and vote for removing the insufficient context template for the article. I'm afraid about moving it without a 2nd vote to remove. Niall123 19:08, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Those early seasons seem to have a never ending amount of tables and results tables. Great work. Niall123 14:22, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Serie A deletion[edit]

You better have a look at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/La Liga 2006/2007 results December 2006. Basically a non footballing wikipedian has nominated the detailed results sections of Serie A and La Liga for deletion. I'm personally totally against them being deleted. I've voted to keep the pages and I just thought I'd highlight this as you might want to vote either way on this. Thanks Niall123 18:38, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reply[edit]

The only ones I've edited are ones I was creating and importing from the Italian Wikipedia. If people want to fix the layout after, then thats fine by me. - Deathrocker 02:37, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Serie A (football) 1934-35.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Serie A (football) 1934-35.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 15:06, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:US Alessandria logo.gif)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:US Alessandria logo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Vandalism[edit]

Any chance of backing up on this. Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Football#Vandalism_on_AC_Milan_article This guy has a major axe to grind. Niall123 08:19, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

So called Vandalism[edit]

You cant remove something from a talk page just because u consider it "vandalism" because u dont agree. what u have done is vandalism--Slogankid 17:15, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

SPAL[edit]

The letters are supposed to be capitalised. "Spal" isn't a word, Società Polisportiva Ars et Labor is. Please see the Italian Wikipedia article on them and realose that the capitalised version is the correct one. - Daddy Kindsoul 10:15, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand the point you're trying to make? On both of the websites you provided a link for it has the capitalised version.
Even on their official website at the bottom it says "Copyright © 2006 - 2007 SPAL 1907. Tutti i diritti sono riservati"[4] - Daddy Kindsoul 10:38, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
