Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Iii024 19910089 arms cornwa.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

Duplicate images uploaded[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Iii024 19910089 arms cornwall.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Iii024 19910089 arms cornwa.jpg. The copy called Image:Iii024 19910089 arms cornwa.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 23:45, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Bridge of cornwall1.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Bridge of cornwall1.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 04:07, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problems with File:Ca-on-co.gif[edit]

Hello. Concerning your contribution, File:Ca-on-co.gif, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/ca-on-co.html. As a copyright violation, File:Ca-on-co.gif appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. File:Ca-on-co.gif has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

 • If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:File:Ca-on-co.gif and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
 • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:File:Ca-on-co.gif with a link to where we can find that note.
 • If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:File:Ca-on-co.gif.

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you. Svgalbertian (talk) 17:53, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

More copyright problems[edit]

I have noticed most the images you upload are from other websites. Wikipedia cannot use other peoples images without their premission.

If you load images from someone else, you have to either get their premission or provide a fair use rational. However given you are likely from Cornwall, you might want to consider taking your own images and releasing them under the GFDL.

I have nominated the following images for deletion:

File:Complex.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Cornwall Civic Complex.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 20:35, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Paul Stanley.PNG[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Paul Stanley.PNG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rodhullandemu 23:56, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:City Of Cornwall.jpg missing description details[edit]

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:City Of Cornwall.jpg is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:45, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Cornwall Square has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

NN 252,502 square foot mall.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
