Daddy Yankee[edit]

As a matter of fact, you didn't actually change anything when you "fixed it", you only undid my previous edit. I know the rules, that is why if I actually bother to undo or edit something its because that 'something' is wrong. If you want to work with the format of the external links or add a mention to his perfume, go ahead. But don't undo without asking why the edits were done in the first place. Here is a rundown of things wrong with your revision:

  • 1. Source that he was shot.
  • 2.Stop blanking "Los Homerun-es" from the discography section.
  • 3. Do not use something as informal as "Non-musical" in a header.
  • 4. Do not use POV, i.e. "established himself", especially without references.
  • 5. Do not include terms already linked in the see also section, especially if you are blanking valid search items in the process.

It is not a single point, there are several issues here. - Caribbean~H.Q. 07:19, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • You undid this revision, its obivious. Here are my 2¢:
    • 1. I will give you this one, seeing that someone else added the unsourced crossfire in the prose.
    • 2. Greatest hits albums are still included in the discography, see The Doors discography.
    • 3. The header is still unencyclopedic, if you take a look at 50 Cent's Good Article revision, you will notice that it uses "Ventures".
    • 4. "Establised" is still POV, see WP:WEASEL and WP:PEACOCK. Being a "mainstay" is a matter of perspective, he has only done one movie as a producer, many other have done so but they haven't "established" themselves.
    • 5. The "see also" section is intended to list broad links. Including terms that are already in the article, in this case in the lead and infobox, is uncommon and generally one of the things that raise issues at FAC. Take a look at WP:ALSO.

June 2009[edit]

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Talk:Criticism of the term Latino. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. William Avery (talk) 07:31, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Criticism of the term Latino. Result was no consensus. Please stop. William Avery (talk) 07:50, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have any strong feelings about it - except that the page shouldn't be blanked. It should be deleted or redirected. Your blanking might be reverted by those who feel the opposite view, leading to an edit war. William Avery (talk) 07:58, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
