Joe Loss

Hello Charles-Don Lang did provide vocals on the LP Joe Loss plays Glenn MIller.

That may be so but you need to provide a reliable source for it.Charles (talk) 13:23, 22 September 2019 (UTC)

Adoption

Hi there Charlesdrakew. I am looking for adoption from a mentor. I think you would be a great fit as I am also from South East England (well, nearly) and I share some interests. I have been editing Wikipedia for a couple of months and I have got a grasp for the simple things (I have about 700 edits and 3 pages created) but I am looking to expand and learn the more advanced methods so that I can do better in the future. I think a mentor would be great for this. Thank you, Willbb234 (talk) 07:05, 15 June 2019 (UTC)

Hi Willbb234. This edit was incorrect. External links always go at the bottom. Otherwise you seem to be getting along fine. It does take time to learn Wikipedia's arcane proceedures but nobody cares if you mess up, if it is done in good faith. I happy to help with general advice. For technical advice you are probably better going to the Teahouse.Charles (talk) 09:56, 15 June 2019 (UTC)
Sorry! I don’t know what happened sometimes I forget obvious stuff and do the wrong thing. Thanks for your help. Willbb234 (talk) 10:35, 15 June 2019 (UTC)

Wikipedia reqires independent relible published sources for all factual content. You also have massive conflict of interest.Charles (talk) 15:14, 9 July 2019 (UTC)

I don't understand?? The information on this page is out of date and some of it is not even true. I spent a lot of my work time adjusting this to be correct to find you've deleted everything. How do I confirm that the information supplied is a reliable source?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by LewisJacksonBHMBuses (talkcontribs) 09:36, 10 July 2019 (UTC)

Wikipedia does not have to be up to date. This is an encyclopedia not a guide. You need to cite sources as explained at WP:Citing sources.Charles (talk) 21:49, 10 July 2019 (UTC)

Adoption

What is adoption? How does one get adopted? IndusFish (talk) 15:29, 31 August 2019 (UTC)

Just an informal process of an experienced editor looking out for a new editor and offering advice I would say. To get adopted just ask. Since the WP:Teahouse was formed any technical or other advice can be found there, usually more quickly than waiting for a single editor to respond.Charles (talk) 21:26, 1 September 2019 (UTC)
