Edit summary[edit]

Chris, please stop vandalizing the Nazi punk article. Most so-called Nazi punks believe in 'National Socialism' which is an anti-Capitalist/pro-State socialism ideology. If you don't understand the Socialist roots and practice of Nazism, I recommend reading the Road to Serfdom, particularly the chapter entitled "The Socialist Roots of Nazism." Liberal Fascism is another great read to see how Nazism and Fascism are essentially anti-Capitalist left-wing movements. Racism is also a form of collectivism, which in turn makes it more left-wing than right-wing (the right being characterized by individualism). They are a movement of the left and support left-liberal economic policies. Even on their own website www.NaziPunk.8k.com they list under their ideology they believe in non-Marxist Socialism, National Syndicalism and National Anarchism.

Conservative Punk conforms far better to what you're saying about Nazi punk. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.103.110.185 (talk) 11:32, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Streetpunk, not Street Punk[edit]

I noticed you added the category Street Punk to some band articles. The category should be called Streetpunk, since that's what the genre is called in the article, and that's the way most people write the name of the genre. I'm not sure how to change the name of the category though, so maybe you can help.Spylab 02:15, 15 September 2006 (UTC)Spylab[reply]

Hi there, I wanted to let you know that I did a partial revert of your edits to the Hollaback Girl article. According to the current reference, it was a 1962 Chevy Impala and not a 1961. If you believe it indeed was a 1961 Impala, please be sure to provide a reliable source that shows that. —ShadowHalo 22:02, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing that out. I found what seems to be a more reliable source (IMCDb) which says it's a 1961 Chevy Impala. In the future, it's helpful to provide a citation when you add/change information in an article. If you have any more questions or comments, feel free to leave them at my talk page. —ShadowHalo 00:48, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Psalters[edit]

A tag has been placed on The Psalters, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Night Gyr (talk/Oy) 03:14, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mallaria[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Mallaria, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of the page. B. November 2007[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to James Brown, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. This is especially important when dealing with biographies of living people, but applies to all Wikipedia articles. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Thank you. Anastrophe 15:42, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hardline (subculture)[edit]

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Hardline (subculture), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of Hardline (subculture)[edit]

An editor has nominated Hardline (subculture), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hardline (subculture) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 16:00, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of The Fog Band[edit]

A tag has been placed on The Fog Band requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. ninety:one 21:20, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Chris, it would really be good if you came up with some "verifiable" material that could be checked quickly to substantiate what you've added. Who says all this stuff is r&b derivative? You should be aware that all pedophilia-related articles are subject to special scrutiny here, for obvious reasons; therefore, it is paramount that adding individuals to this category requires particular care, in particular with respect to reliable sourcing and [[WP:|verifiability]]. Accordingly, policy applies, particularly with respect to people who can sue us. Although the tabloid media describe Gary Glitter as a pedophile, to be included in that category would require a better, almost clinical definition, and I invite you to examine DSM-IV-TR and cite such a diagnosis for Glitter. Failing that, the question is obviously raised as to the proper scope of that category, and if necessary, if it cannot be strictly defined (per WP:BLP and WP:V), it should be deleted as vague and subjective. Cheers. --Rodhullandemu 00:11, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Scum punk, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Does the seemingly scatter gun approach, of applying proto-punk genres to disparate musicians, actually serve a positive purpose here ? Or is it, rather like your general editing history, merely trying to disrupt, annoy and confuse ? Try verifiability for further education.

Please don't add legal advice to this page. The article is sourced from media articles so already public knowledge. People who shouldn't read it (such as jury members) will be warned not to by the judge as the would be warned not to read newspaper articles on the story. We don't see warns like this (directed at a handful of people) in newspaper articles so they are certainly not required in Wikipedia. - SimonLyall (talk) 00:53, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted a change you made to Serial killer, stating "Unsourced" as the reason. I gave it a second thought and maybe the reason I gave should be clarified. What I meant was not a source for the facts themselves, although that is missing too. You wrote: "It could be argued that, in some sense, he was a parody of a mission-oriented serial killer", and this is what I was missing a source for. I am not aware of any reliable source arguing this, and unless one is given, this seems like OR. I hope this is clearer. --Muhandes (talk) 00:52, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Anna Reksik has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable fictional character so minor not even linked to from Viz (comic). No references in > 3 years.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Disambiguation link notification for October 11[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Hippie, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Loop and Ride (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Grey Baskerville has left the building[edit]

After surviving AfDs, Doug Thorley and Magoo are still up, but both could use better sourcing. I'm wondering if you've got back issues of Hot Rod, Car Craft, National Dragster, & the like that would help. Ditto on Jake, Showboat, The Mantaray, Ed Donovan, Donovan hemi, Silhouette, and a few others I've created lately. (Have a look at my userpage under the "Open Vanity" 3&4.) Any help you can be would be very much appreciated. TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 06:21, 29 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Stuart Maconie's Freak Zone moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Stuart Maconie's Freak Zone, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. A tag has been placed on Rock Against Sexism requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, society, or group that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
