Replaceable fair use Image:Nikki sanderson zoo 11.jpg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Nikki sanderson zoo 11.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

 1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add , without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
 2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kurt Shaped Box 20:33, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Image:Emily scott 100032 12.jpg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Inappropriate Image

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add hangon on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. UnknownMan 20:34, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lucy Pinder[edit]

I'm afraid I've had to remove your image as it doesn't follow the policy at Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria. A non-free use image shouldn't be used when a free one is available. Thanks for your efforts, anyway. Epbr123 (talk) 14:06, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

was the pic i used ok for wikipedia? Chubbyman99 (talk) 14:09, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

 • Firstly, the image page has to give details of where it came from and whether Wikipedia has permission to use it from the person who owns it. If Wikipedia has permission, the image becomes "free use" and my be used. Wikipedia is only allowed to use images without permission if it is unlikely that "free use" images will ever become available. As there is already a free-use image on the Lucy Pinder page, a non-free use image may not be used there. Epbr123 (talk) 14:20, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problems[edit]

Hello. Concerning your contribution, Image:Rhian2 12 12 06.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.page3.com/models2006/rhian2_12_12_06.jpg. As a copyright violation, Image:Rhian2 12 12 06.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Image:Rhian2 12 12 06.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

 • If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Image:Rhian2 12 12 06.jpg and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
 • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Image:Rhian2 12 12 06.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
 • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Image:Rhian2 12 12 06.jpg.

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 14:07, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Jodie Marsh.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Jodie Marsh.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Asher196 (talk) 03:50, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Image:Jodie Marsh.jpg[edit]

A tag has been placed on Image:Jodie Marsh.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.

If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the article name that the image is used in tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Jodie Marsh.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Jodie Marsh.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:56, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
