Help me![edit]

Please help me with... Hello, I am new to Wikipedia and have starting making changes to some film-related articles. I have created an article called Deepak Reddy. It is about a film maker from my country, India. Questions: 1. So, I created the page but I am not sure why it is not showing up on Google. 2. I am having doubts if it is because of my sources. Can you please help me in knowing if the sources in the References section of Deepak Reddy are acceptable?

Thank you very much, Cinemaha. Cinemaha (talk) 08:15, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Articles are not indexed by search engines like Google immediately(for various reasons); it must first be marked as formally reviewed, and then it can take a few days or weeks for search engines to index it. The article has been marked as having certain important issues, so it won't be marked as reviewed yet. As a new user, you decided to undertake the most difficult task possible on Wikipedia- creating a new article. Without a better understanding of Wikipedia guidelines and practices, it may not be entirely successful. I would suggest that you consent to the article being moved to Draft space where you can submit it under Articles for Creation to get eyes on it before it is formally part of the encyclopedia. Then you can take as much time to work on it as you wish before doing so with less fear of deletion. I would note that interviews with the subject do not establish notability. Please read Your First Article; you may wish to use the new user tutorial as well.
In looking at your edit history it appears that you are in communication with those associated with the film and/or Mr. Reddy; please review conflict of interest. 331dot (talk) 08:47, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
