April 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Danners430. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Driving Van Trailer, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Danners430 (talk) 08:51, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

. If you feel that the sourcing rather than the correctness of the information is more important that I'll leave it to you. Cjjb (talk) 14:52, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, verifiability/sourcing IS more important than accuracy on Wikipedia. Images such as the one you show here fall under WP:UGC, and are generally not appropriate as citations. While I would never accuse anyone of this, for all the lay reader knows that photo was taken while the coach was being moved between storage facilities. You and I both know that not to be the case, but there's no way to confirm this. Best to wait for the media to release something that confirms it's back in service, such as a railway magazine article or website piece. Danners430 (talk) 16:21, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Unsure why you object to one change with UGC, but revert to an status which also lacks a suitable citation. Cjjb (talk) 19:10, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You have a point... I'd have no objection to removing it altogether. At the same time, that was originally added before I was active, so I have no real baseline. Danners430 (talk) 19:13, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
