College of Charleston[edit]

Hi Clydecougar -- I've noted some of your edits to the College of Charleston article, and am glad you are contributing. I winced once or twice... I think i saw u attempting to hard-code a footnote #5... but I see you are figuring it out.  :) I appreciate your announcing your association with the college clearly in an edit summary and your user page. I expect you are sensitive to some of the potential issues already, but there are some general issues with wikipedians editing articles about themselves or their institutions. I am not very conversant about those, but perhaps you should browse Wikipedia:Conflict of interest if you have not already. My own interest is in historical places, and I visited the College of Charleston page to add info related to it being on the List of National Historic Landmarks in South Carolina. Cheers, doncram (talk) 00:49, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. Hey, i saw you made a few more edits. I was hoping you would take some digital snapshots and upload them. Would you, could you? The College of Charleston article and the List of NHLs in SC that includes it both desperately need some color. To upload photos the best way, you have to open an account at commons.wikimedia.org (related but different from wikipedia), and then it is very easy. Basically, if you have pics that you have taken yourself on your computer, u can upload them following a point-and-click process. Wikipedia and the commons can only accept pictures that are released into the public domain or released under certain "free" licenses, GFDL and Creative Commons being two examples, and you can upload and release your own pictures under any choice of those licenses. I upload mine under the GFDL and CC combination license. I think taking pics and adding them is a great way to contribute to wikipedia. Feel free to contact me via my Talk page if i could answer any questions, but it's no big deal if taking pics is not your bag. Anyhow, happy editing. doncram (talk) 02:17, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

College of Charleston Image Replacement[edit]

Hi there, I work at the College of Charleston in Marketing and Communications and I am trying to replace the seal with our new wordmark. I only have the png format, not svg, altho I will ask our tech people for one. I would like to have the wordmark centered, can you help with that? Thanks!Monteith (talk) 13:24, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is it better now? Stifle (talk) 13:25, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 14:36, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
