Test warnings

Thank you for your assitance removing vandalism from the encyclopedia. When giving out warnings to users, such as {{test2-n}} please place them on User discssion pages, not main User Pages, normally only user's edit their own user page. Also please subst: the templates, e.g. instead of type {{test}} type {{subst:test}} this reduces server load on the templates, and makes it harder for vandals to vandalize the templates. For much information about vandal fighting, you may want to see The counter vandalism unit page, or feel free to leave me a talk message. xaosflux Talk/CVU 00:56, 17 January 2006 (UTC)

(I responded to Xaosflux on his talk page at the time because I was a newbie :) -- CopperMurdoch 22:15, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

  • Below I've included what I posted on Xaosflux's talk page for the sake of completeness. --CopperMurdoch 05:03, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Anti-Vandalism Tips
Thank you for the information. I'm relatively new to Wikipedia and although I did realize I was only supposed to post on users' talk pages, it seems I have confused the two in a few instances. I will make the appropriate changes and also "subst: the templates."

Thanks again, CopperMurdoch 01:08, 17 January 2006 (UTC)"

Wikimedia Canada

Hi there! I'd like to invite you to explore Wikimedia Canada, and create a list of people interested in forming a local chapter for our nation. A local chapter will help promote and improve the organization, within our great nation. We'd also like to encourage everyone to suggest projects for our national chapter to participate in. Hope to see you there!--DarkEvil 15:23, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for reverting my userpage. This guy is hell-bent on vandalizing right now, and I'm sitting around waiting for an admin to block him (I've reported him already, a long time ago). Thanks again. Buchanan-Hermit™..SCREAM!!!.... 08:03, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

No problem. Gotta stop this guy from giving us Canuks a bad name :) -- CopperMurdoch 08:08, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
Nah, I think he's just embarassing Edmonton right now. I mean, if he was a fellow Canucks fan, I'd be embarassed too. ;) Buchanan-Hermit™..SCREAM!!!.... 08:12, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
Opps, forgot you guys were talking about hockey. By Canuks I meant Canadians in general. I'm kinda slow :'( -- CopperMurdoch 08:14, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
You're not slow... He IS giving Canadians a bad name also. ;) Buchanan-Hermit™..SCREAM!!!.... 08:23, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

Your VandalProof Application

Dear CopperMurdoch,

Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact with the new 1.1 version release it has even more power. As such we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that you have only 121 mainspace edits - minimum is 250.. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again in the not too distant future. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof.

I'm going to go cry in the corner now. But seriously, it's perfectly understandable. I was slightly confused by the difference between total and mainspace edits and arrogantly assumed I had made at least 250 mainspace edits. I will apply again when I have met the necessary requirements. Thanks for explaining the situation. -- CopperMurdoch 04:10, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

Tesco / Juggernaut

Hi - there's a debate ongoing about the suitability of the Tesco example on the Juggernaut page. I wondered if you'd be able to contribute, on Talk:Juggernaut? Thanks. --Oscarthecat 06:45, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
