Displayed equations

If you're wondering why I may have used <math display=block>...</math> rather than :<math>...</math> for displayed equations, see WP:Manual of Style/Mathematics § Using LaTeX markup, WP:Manual of Style/Accessibility § Indentation, WP:Manual of Style/Glossaries/DD bug test cases, and https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T111712. Despite the MOS warning against using it, it seems that the latter is preferred by the majority of editors so it will be what I use for the time being. Carrington Event

I like most of your recent edits, but think that the "Other evidence" section is worthy of discussion before deletion, so I have restored it for the time being.--TedColes (talk) 08:47, 28 November 2021 (UTC)

Thank you for restoring it. I had actually meant to keep it in, but originally removed it because it seemed only tangentially related to the Carrington Event. In any case, I think it would fit better in Solar energetic particles or Solar particle event. CoronalMassAffection (talk) 21:37, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
