New RfC about governance description of a few U.S. universities

A few months ago, you participated in an RfC asking how we should describe the governance of the University of Pittsburgh. That RfC was closed as "no consensus." Another editor has opened a new RfC asking a similar question for this and a few other universities; your participation would be welcome. ElKevbo (talk) 00:48, 13 August 2020 (UTC)

Pitt buildings succession boxes

Feel unnecessary and not informative - is there a reason you put them in? After one is built, the previous ones do remain. Abeg92contribs 21:08, 18 November 2022 (UTC)

“Succession boxes” are used for many purposes. For buildings, they are used for age (which is done here), height, etc. In this case, the boxes allow a reader to follow a historical chronology of the university’s physical construction. The fact buildings continue to exist has no bearing on such uses. Many readers have found these boxes helpful when researching history of physical traits of structures. Thank you for your message. Best regards. CrazyPaco (talk) 01:14, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
