Revision 3 article images

Hi. I noticed you've made a few edits to the Revision 3 article. In case it's of any interest to you and you have any input, there's a discussion going on on it's talk page regarding the images used in the page. Thanks. Ha! (talk) 18:11, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi. RE the Revision3 talk page, you can request deleted articles from the list of administrators given in any speedy deletion notice (e.g. the one for GigaOm above). Just leave one of them a message and tell them what articles you would like (or point them to the Revision talk page section that has the list). I wouldn't include the word "list" in the name of an article. I think sometimes when people see that word they reach for the delete button. You could add what shows are notable or significant to the main article and build them up, then if there's so much the article becomes long you could break them out into "Revision3 shows" or something along those lines. If you look at other articles you'll see quite a few that have a small section describing something then a link to another article that expands on that section - I was thinking something along those lines (but I can't find a firm example of one that would relate to the Revision3 article at the moment). I would definitely start with the current article though as the tables damage the article (sorry if you created them). The columns with anything except the show description take up too much space, leaving it hard to read the descriptions (which is in a column a couple of words wide on a 1024 screen). There could easily be two columns with the description in one and the rest of the info in the other. By the time you've done that you might as well get rid of the table and do them all as a list of shows with descriptions and then you've got a decent list of all the shows. by then you'll know which deserve their own article and you can break those out into links to an article on them. Just my 2 cents worth, sorry for ramblingHa! (talk) 23:53, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I hope you read this or I post a message on your talk page. I'm trying to find a good format for the show page. I'm currently working in my sandbox. See User:Cyzor/Sandbox#Revision3_Shows, let me know what you think. The content of the deleted pages would be much appreciated. I'll go after that after I finish a rough draft of the article but if you want to request the pages back feel free. Cyzor (talk) 13:11, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Hey, excellent work on Revision3 Shows. The "show/hide" episode lists are a really good idea. Did you manage to get the content of the old articles? Ha! (talk) 06:09, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, I used Google cache, I think I got everything, but please help expending some shows and references. Cyzor (talk) 08:35, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

pd-ineligible

In US law, a basic typeface and simple geometric shapes does not meet the threshold of originality for something to be copyrighted. In my interpretation, a number on a shape (unless it has some better stylistic elements, see the 3 logo for that) is not copyrightale because anyone can just go in and put a number on a shape. The BBC Logo is also too basic enough to be copyrighted. ViperSnake151 19:23, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Hey just wanted to see why you changed the :end to :$now. That seems totally unfeasible to update that daily. 71.96.72.238 (talk) 03:20, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:KPN logo.svg)

Thanks for uploading Image:KPN logo.svg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:24, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Funnily enough, it works for me now (in the UK). It didn't this morning. --Frostie Jack (talk) 10:22, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Re; Joss Whedon template

Sorry, I was removing Marcus Brute's addition of Serenity (franchise) to that (and many, many other articles). It looks like yours was caught up in it. I've since re-added your edit, excising the Serenity franchise info inserted by Marcus. To that entry, I've opened a discussion on the topic of the additions at the WikiProject level, and initiated an AfD for the intended omnibus (and largely redundant) Serenity franchise article. Again, sorry for clipping you in the first place. No hard feelings? - Arcayne (cast a spell) 18:42, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Revision3 Shows

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Revision3 Shows, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

WP:NOTDIRECTORY

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion nomination of Film1

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Film1, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Film1 and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ▒ Wirεłεşş ▒ Fidεłitұ ▒ Ćłâşş ▒ Θnε ▒ ―Œ ♣Łεâvε Ξ мεşşâgε♣ 17:11, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

License tagging for File:FaceTime logo.png

Thanks for uploading File:FaceTime logo.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:06, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
