March 2012[edit]

Please don't use Wikipedia articles as a means to communicate with other editors, as you did here. Thanks. - DVdm (talk) 16:54, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Re:

That was not my intention, but I respect your input. Thanks, Dale (talk) 16:58, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

RfA[edit]

Hi Dale45,

It's great that you want to help Wikipedia, but I see that you've attempted to nominate yourself for adminship at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Dale45. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there isn't a snowball's chance in hell of you becoming an admin at the moment: when I ran for adminship, it was after a year of editing, with over 20,000 edits and wide experience in a lot of different aspects of Wikipedia policy and culture. While we like to say that adminship is "no big deal", you will need more experience and edits. There's lots to do at Wikipedia that doesn't require the special user rights admins have: there's new page patrolling, lots of backlogs to work on, and lots of articles that need writing. If you are stuck for things to do, find an experienced editor and ask them if they can come up with any suggestions of things to work on. If you can demonstrate your abilities and interest over time, one day you might be able to become an admin.

I hope that helps. —Tom Morris (talk) 20:24, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Details about being blocked[edit]
