Wikiproject Forestry[edit]
Hello @Dank I hope you can keep the Forestry project semi-active and perhaps recruit other editors. According to Template:WikiProject status#Usage: Inactive projects you need to add yourself as a member.
As there seem to be no other members of the project at the moment, next week could you possibly comment on a new merge I just proposed at Talk:Agroforestry

Image permissions for H. sechmenii[edit]
Hey Dank, thanks for working with me on TFAR. I actually got a response back from an author for the first time, and it's incredibly positive. Not only did Okan Sezer give permission to use the image I wanted (with attribution), but he also sent three more that I've never seen and said those could be used as well! We had correspondence over ResearchGate, but my name and personal info are tied to the profile I messaged with, so I don't really want to link the message chain. Do you happen to know how I should go about affirming the attribution and permission? I'm very excited to put these images in the article, and one of them will be perfect for a front page run. TFA for July 2[edit]
Hey Dank, I'm confused to why Thomas Cranmer was bumped to July 3. I saw that maple syrup was at TFAP for July 2 before I nominated Cranmer, but the reason was because of Canada Day. However, Canada Day is on July 1 and there is already a TFAP option of Flag of Canada for July 1, so I thought it would be better to hold maple syrup until next year. Also, I nominated Cranmer for July 2 because that's his birthday. If Cranmer can't run on July 2, I'd prefer to hold it until 2029 or another significant date as I prefer TFAs to run on the date of significance. Thoughts? Z1720 (talk) 23:40, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
- I have no problem giving you your preferred date for Cranmer. Although "specific hourly usage data [for the English Wikipedia] isn't publicly available due to privacy policies", I remember back when the servers would get very slow in the evening (US) hours, so I'm guessing it's still true that we get more North American readers in the evening hours (local time) ... and July 1 for those readers is July 2 for the server, so they're actually going to see the Cranmer article on July 1 ... hopefully they'll figure out why. (This is why when I have two articles competing for the same day, pushing one to the next day is an option.) Nikkimaria, you suggested Canada Day for the maple syrup article almost a year ago, and you've been keeping an eye on it ... I didn't want you to have to wait another year, but it's your call, do you prefer July 3 this year or July 1 next year? - Dank (push to talk) 01:33, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
