The Canberra[edit]

Thanks. I can't remember my rationale for using RMS prefix- it was over 2 years ago I created the article! However I do remember that I was creating various articles for ships that served in the Falklands War at that time, and was using the "Battle for the Falkland Islands" book which listed all the ships that saw service. It may be that the book listed the Canberra as RMS Canberra, I will check this out later. Cheers Astrotrain 10:53, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Canberra[edit]

Hello Dashers, here’s a link to a picture of the Canberra I recently added.image: The canberra.JPG.An anonymous user removed it as he thought 2 images were unnecessary . I must admit it isn’t a brilliant photo but then the current one isn’t either and mine could probably be cleaned up a bit in Photoshop though I can’t actually be bothered to do it myself. As you actually served on the ship I thought I’d let you have a look at it and you could decide whether it is worth putting back or not. I myself know nothing about ships. It was there, I was passing, I had my camera so I took the photo. Dave59 18:58, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your comments. I might have a go at cleaning it up a bit and put it back but if you have a better one put it up. I don't think there are any hard and fast rules about how many pictures an article can have and some of those that attract lots of pictures have galleries. I think I know who took it off and I think he did it because I annoyed him by replacing one of his pictures with what I thought was a better one (he disagreed!). I am pretty new to this as well. Dave.

Hey Paul, A good site. You kept good records of your trips. Keep adding to the site.
