Football AID 22 April - 29 April[edit]

Thank you for participating in the Football AID vote this week.

Leeds United A.F.C. has been selected as this week's collaboration. Please do help in working to improve it.

Hey there - I presume User:Dave101/Stoke City is a sandbox page, right? I have commented out the category and interwiki links - the former as the Mainspace categories should never contain Userspace pages, and the latter as it can confuse the bots that do interwiki links. Hope you don't mind. When you want to copy the text back into mainspace then you can uncomment them but please leave them until then. Thanks. Qwghlm 16:53, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for telling me! I will bear that in mind in the future.Dave101talkcontributions • 18:18, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Football AID 29 April - 6 May[edit]

Northern Ireland national football team has been selected as this week's collaboration. Please do help in working to improve it.

Your VandalProof Application[edit]

Thank you for your interest in VandalProof, Dave101. As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that: you have little experience vandalfighting. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank again for your interest in VandalProof. Prodego talk 16:14, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would personally disagree with your reason for declining my request. If you look at my contributions,[1] you will see that I have helped with vandal fighting on numerous occasions and I am well aware of Wikipedia policies on what constitutes vandalism. However, if you feel that I lack experience in this area then I will try and increase the amount of vandal fighting I carry out and hopefully you will accept my request when I re-apply.Dave101talkcontributions • 16:31, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Football AID 6 May - 13 May[edit]

Thank you for participating in the Football AID vote this week.

Help[edit]

I am new to Wiki. I am facing some acute problems while putting Gurumukhi text on pages. I normally use this "typepad". It works fine but has no "tippi" ( as in " ਸਿੰਘ " )or punjabi equivalent of " ड़ "...I expect you also put Gurumukhi characters...please tell me how you do it ? Can you tell me some other typepad ? Or please tell me about a user who can guide me. Thanks...Jon Ascton

Hello, Dave101. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Britannia1.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Dave101/Stoke City. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 07:26, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Dave101, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Stoke.png) was found at the following location: User:Dave101/Stoke City. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 20:47, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

FA Cup Final 2007[edit]

Sorry for edditing out false information from the article, you idiot. You clearly didnt see the final. The game ended 1-0 not 1-1, thats what I was changing!—Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.153.9.222 (talkcontribs)

I was referring to this[2] edit you made. Also, please remember to sign your posts on talk pages with four ~~~~. Thank you. Dave101talk  17:40, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies, that was me edditing the wrong bit, I was trying to fix the vandalism someone else had put there. 81.153.9.222 17:41, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You also deleted a reference[3], please try to be more careful in the future! Although with the amount of edits coming in, it's fair enough that you make mistakes trying to remove vandalism. Dave101talk  17:44, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

SLTS[edit]

Surely Red Hot Chili Peppers are a group (already a plural of course), but they possess a song, "Give It Away". Surely that warrants "'s"? It would be like saying "Jesus work" instead of "Jesus' work" or "Jesus's work". A minor point of course; I just hope to clarify. CloudNine 09:58, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

By all means revert my edit if you don't think it's correct. I'm not entirely sure on the subject, just reading through I thought it looked wrong! Dave101talk  10:07, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Owen Hargreaves[edit]

Sorry, I disagree with the compromise suggested, it hasn't been ratified, or even accepted by the majority of contributors, and is factually wrong (the dates on the info boxes [if updated at all] are at best today, not dated 1st July.

I've added my piece at the link you provided. Darkson - BANG! 16:08, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
