This article was tagged for speedy deletion, I've moved it to WP:PROD, but there's nothing in the article as it stands to indicate that the entity meets WP:CORP. You have five days to add such citations, if they exist, and remove the PROD tag if you wish. Herostratus 05:15, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Antonio Masip Hidalgo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Antonio Masip Hidalgo.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Bob 01:12, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Wings for kids" entry - you deleted?[edit]

Hi David - I'm the person who posted the entry for "Wings for kids," which I think you deleted (or had deleted) due to it containing copyrighted materials.

However, we are the owners of that copyrighted materials. We're fairly new to Wikipedia, and would like this entry posted for all to see, but don't really know how to do it... Can you help us get our entry "Wiki-fied"?

Thanks, Andy Schultz andy@wingsforkids.org —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wings for kids (talkcontribs) 21:03, 4 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Thanks for your comments and the info. I'll make use of it! Cheers! Bretonbanquet 15:33, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pasty barnstar[edit]

Hehe... thanks. Sometimes the Pasty article is so frustrating to maintain. I really appreciate it. :) -- dcclark (talk) 16:00, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WP:CVU status[edit]

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! Editing Pages[edit]

David, You picked me up on some 'vandalism' not so long ago regarding Edith Bowman. I have since made constructive edits to another page regarding Kanye West and these edits have been ignored. Would you know how I can find out why and when they have been disregarded??? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Takuhii (talkcontribs).

UTStarcom Page Update[edit]

Hello!

My name is Don Pokorny and I am the senior marketing manager for corporate internal and electronic communications at UTStarcom. We recently reviewed our UTStarcom Wikipedia article and the related discussions and would like to provide assistance with the development and expansion of the article and the update of current, factual information and photos, as appropriate. We do realize that companies are typically not supposed to use the discussion page as a general forum and we understand that we should not update our own article. However, there is a significant amount of information about the company, its history, acquisitions and current executive team that is has omitted from the original article/stub and we thought that this may be the most appropriate and effective way to share that information about our company with the contributors engaged in this discussion. We have chosen not to become involved in the discussion up to this point because we respect the intent of Wikipedia, which is to present factual and unbiased information on any subject. However, we did notice that although some contributors suggested an update of the article in late 2005 and early 2006, no one has yet committed to doing so. A lot of information regarding product lines, the company’s business units, the company’s development and market history and recent restructure is relevant, yet not included in the current article. In addition, some of the information on the page is either outdated or factually inaccurate and we would like to assist with the refresh of that information. We also wanted to address the bot on our discussion page with regards to the picture of the router. We are not sure who posted this image or why they felt that it needed to be included, but it is not a core product for our business and it does not hold any relevance with regards to the company now or in the past.

Our intention by requesting an update is not to transform the article into a slanted promotion of the company or an additional marketing source, but rather we’d like to see the article reflect an accurate, fair, balanced, and neutral explanation of who UTStarcom is and our history in the telecommunications industry. We feel that individuals who visit Wikipedia looking for information about UTStarcom should receive as much unbiased information as possible from a site that has established itself as a credible and respected resource – a site that provides straightforward and relevant information to those that would like to supplement their knowledge base of the company with information that can be found on the company’s web site. To that extent, I am providing some very basic information below that I think you will find helpful in updating and editing the UTStarcom Wikipedia article. I am also happy to satisfy any other reasonable requests for information that can help you, as contributors, better assist with this request and with the expansion of our article.

Any information we provide is intended to give you a more factual understanding of the company and can be verified through public news releases on our company web site, as well as through third party media reporting. Thank you in advance for your consideration of our input and offer of additional information – and for your efforts to help make Wikipedia an accurate, reliable resource for its readers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Contract73 (talkcontribs)
