Linking to copyrighted material

Hi Davidcrown. I noticed that you recently added a number of external links to a YouTube channel "Cow Missing" to various articles which I have removed. According to the information for each of these videos, they seem to be copyrighted to somebody other than the YouTube uploader. While Wikipedia does allow linking to YouTube videos, etc. in certain cases as explained in WP:YOUTUBE and WP:EL/P#YouTube, it does not allow any links to copyright material to be added per WP:ELNEVER or WP:COPYLINK when there is reason to believe they have been uploaded to YouTube without the copyright holder's permission. Wikipedia also does not allow external links to third party websites to be embedded directly into articles per WP:CS#Avoid embedded links or to be added to "See also" sections per WP:NOTSEEALSO. Hi again Davidcrown. I see you are still adding links to the "Cow Missing" YouTube channel to various articles. As I posted above, I don't think these YouTube links are allowed per WP:COPYLINK. If you feel differently then perhaps this is something that should be discussed at WP:ELN to get feedback from other editors. Wikipedia takes copyright related matters quite seriously as explained in WP:COPY and linking to websites where copyrighted content has been uploaded without permission is not really allowed at all. Although the Cow Missing channel is not claiming these uploads as its own, there is no evidence that it received permission to upload them in the first place as required by YouTube's own Terms of Service. Simply attributing the material to the copyright holder and claiming its not a copyright violation does not equate to being given permission to upload those videos to YouTube and is not sufficient at all for Wikipedia's purposes. -- Marchjuly (talk) 03:32, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
