November 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Sesame Street, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Dendrotech, I'm the main editor of this article; actually, I'm main editor of many Sesame Street articles. I wanted to explain why I reverted your list of international co-productions. First off, stand-alone lists are against WP policy and not encouraged. Secondly, the items in your list are included in a separate article, International co-productions of Sesame Street, which I created, researched, and wrote. (Please read it; I'm very proud of it.) Co-productions are mentioned in the SS article, and there's a link to it under the "Media" subsection. There are over 20 co-productions, so adding them to the SS article would make it unwieldy and redundant. I'm not "deleting important information"; rather, I'm ensuring the high-quality of the article (it's a FA), and I would ask that you would respect that. It took three years to get the article from being delisted as a FA to becoming a legitimate FA, and most of that effort came from me. I would also ask that you respect that. D, I saw your note on my talk page. Yes, this article is very comprehensive. You really should read the articles you edit, especially if they're FAs. I also highly recommend that before you make a major edit like this, that you make the suggestion on the article's talk page; this is also WP policy and just plain good manners. To that end, I will go and revert your edits. Good luck! Christine (talk) 18:11, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
