Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Desmond123x. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Draft:Brit Bunkley, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Nick Moyes (talk) 09:21, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

My name is Desmond Bovey, a retired Art Director (France), now living in New Zealand. I was impressed by Brit Bunkley's artwork, particularly his last exhibition at the Sarjeant Gallery in 2018. I noticed that he was lacking a presence on Wikipedia. His resume (as on his web page https://www.britbunkley.com/) appeared as notable than as other Kiwi artists that I have seen on Wikipedia. With the assistance of AndreaSG50 who has access to the catalogues and books, I was able to secure many of the citations, most of which are notable and easily retrievable. I believe that they speak for themselves. I believe that AndreaSG50 has disclosed herself as a friend of Brit Bunkley. It is highly likely that many Wikipedia articles were created with some sort of "COI" in that many of us know each other in the small New Zealand "art world". Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Desmond123x (talk) 02:35, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
