Should there be a separate section on the impact of the caste system on women's political participation?

Class differences are extremely prevalent in India and can affect women's political participation. Should an economic or class lense be incorporated into each section or should a new section be created for this? --Devikajhaveri (talk) 01:23, 14 October 2021 (UTC)

Women of the Indian independence movement - Peer Review

Hi Devika! I really like your content as of now. I think having separate sections for each of the women really makes your article structured and easy to follow. I like how you have a variety of sources since they make your contributions more reliable. However, I don't think you need to signpost the women you're writing about in the lead section since it might read a bit weird when published on Wikipedia. As someone who knows nothing about the Indian independence movement, I'm also curious about the role of women in non-leadership positions during the Rebellion, or the role of ordinary women in other words. For example, I think it'd be cool if you could add information on female soldiers, etc. Really strong article nonetheless!Hoang1nguyen (talk) 16:50, 7 December 2021 (UTC)

Peer Review

Overall, the article “Women of the Indian Independence Movement” has a really good start! The biggest thing I initially noticed is that the article currently redirects to the page “Indian independence movement,” so it’s extremely hard to find the article itself unless you undo the redirect back to the actual article. This should be an easy fix and the edit was also made by another user. All the content I reviewed was also in the “Talk” section by comparing revisions, but I think it would be beneficial to go ahead and publish it to make it easier to review. Content wise, the article has a great introduction and includes a lot of neutral information. I think the organization could be a bit better, and maybe grouped more by the time periods of the Indian Independence Movement. So far, the two examples of females are really good, but some more background information about the Movement itself and how the women were involved could be useful to add. Also, images of the women themselves would be a great visual addition. I know that the article is probably still in progress, so I can’t say it is 100% well-developed, but it has a great foundation so far and lots of potential!
