Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Kangra into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Kautilya3 (talk) 09:55, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Katoch dynasty[edit]

Hi Digvijay, thanks for trying to improve the Katoch pages. However, please make sure that you include exactly what the sources say (but in your own words). No original research!

  • I am going to revert the information you copied from the Kangra-Lambagraon page. If you want to copy it again, using the exact content of the page, you can do so. The title of the section with "Purported" should remain. However, you now have better sources available, e.g., the Brentnall book. Why you don't write proper content using them?
  • You should also avoid using web sites as sources. They are not considered reliable sources.
  • You can use the citation tool here to generate citations for Google Books urls. It includes all the needed information.

Cheers, Kautilya3 (talk) 11:22, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
