I find this rejection a bit odd as the article does include a number of favorable reviews. __meco (talk) 07:22, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I actually added them after the rejection. Maybe the rejection note at the top of the page is misleading, but there's a new submission notice at the bottom of the page as well. Let's see if I can get rid of the top one... Diskonnection (talk) 07:28, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bass in Electro House Loop.ogg[edit]

Hi, just wondering how on earth you managed to make that bass in the loop, I've been trying to recreate it but had a lot of trouble. Could you maybe go into a bit of detail on how you did it, or even better share the FLP. Thanks 128.232.240.242 (talk) 07:21, 4 June 2013 (UTC)Nick[reply]

It took a long time to hack together that bass sound. It's a bit complicated; basically, I used a combination of saw-like waves and a bit of white noise, and I ran them through a bunch of distortion, stereo separation, compression, and equalization effects until it sounded good to me. Most producers who make this kind of music probably use better techniques and better plugins, though, such as Massive and FM8.
Anyway, here's an FL Studio file I made for you with the bass sound more-or-less how it is in the loop. I made it in FL Studio 10, and it uses plugins called Sytrus (a synth) and Maximus (a maximizer), so you probably need those.
The bass has two parts: what I call the "turbine" and "monster". The turbine is the most harsh and noticeable part, and the monster is the kind of bubbling part. I also run them both through a master channel with an equalizer and maximizer to make them sound good. I'll let you poke around to figure most of it out yourself.
One thing you'll notice, though, is that there is a Peak Controller and Fruity Balance on most of the mixer tracks. This is because the other effects add some unwanted trailing distortion sounds to the waveforms, and the Peak Controller and Fruity Balance work together to cut it off. The Peak Controller tracks the volume of the input waveform before the distortion, and the volume knob of the Fruity Balance turns the sound off when the input waveform isn't playing.
I hope you can open the file and figure it out. If you have any questions, let me know.

P.S. If you want to connect on SoundCloud, here's my page. Cheers.

I, too, thought that little loop was pretty cool. It reminded me of this. Do you have any actual full-length songs? — Tha†emoover†here (talk) 21:38, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! I like that Deadmau5 song, so I'll take that as a compliment. :)
I do have a couple of full-length songs, here and here, though their full length is a bit short. I usually don't finish whole songs, because I'm lazy. :/
