{{helpme}}What can I put on my talk page?DougieSC 21:23, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

Others put stuff here, like messages/questions/comments. You can put stuff on your userpage, but it should be Wikipedia-related/not too long/not social, etc. See User page for more. fetch·comms 21:27, 15 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How do I get userboxes?

See WP:UBX. But instead of worrying about your userpage, please improve the encyclopedia by improving an article first. fetch·comms 21:58, 15 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Edits to talk pages[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. Jeffrey Mall (talkcontribs) - 02:25, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the sunshine[edit]

But I'd appreciate it more if you wrote or expanded an article. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, please don't spend so much time on your userpage. It doesn't actually mean anything. fetch·comms 23:47, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

And a thank you...[edit]

For the barnstar! But as you didn't leave a message with it I don't know what I did to deserve it :P. Jeffrey Mall (talkcontribs) - 23:50, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Adoption[edit]

Greetings DougieSC, I see you're up for adoption, and I'm in the market. If ever you need advice or answers, just ask me -- any question, any time. I'd like to help however I can. Happy editing - Draeco (talk) 12:47, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

New deal for page patrollers[edit]

Hi DougieSC,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
