Sorry for the delay in response; I was on a plane to Heidelberg. I reverted your edits because they removed some text and lumped some things together under one bullet point that don't really flow. I think you're probably onto something about de-listifying it. Perhaps we could present the same information while making it flow better if we use these facts to explain the recent controversy, a strand which is already kind of there in the text. Some conventions[edit]
Hello. Please notice this edit. In particular:
- Initial context-setting: "In combinatorial mathematics,..." Just saying "In combinatorics,..." doesn't do it becaue the lay reader will not have heard of combinatorics.
- The title phrase is set in bold at its first appearance.
- The variables m and n are italicized. (Digits, parentheses, etc., in non-TeX mathematical notation, however, are not italicized.)
