July 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The project's content policies require that all articles be written from a neutral point of view, and not introduce bias or give undue weight to viewpoints. Please bear this in mind when making edits such as your recent edit to Drinks Americas. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. MattieTK 09:46, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mattie, thank you! I am buried in Wiki pages learning for two days. I'm getting material together and will delete as I go for your guidelines. Drecognac

Please do not violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, as you did with this edit to Drinks Americas. Thanks. MattieTK 11:37, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright violation[edit]

This article seems to have a significant amount of copyrighted material. Rather than have the entire article tagged (and therefore completely removed), I've taken out some of the copyrighted material. Understand that it doesn't matter that you represent the company -- material is a copyright violation unless it's explicitly in the public domain. Short quotes can be made (with citations), but this article is copying hundreds of words. (It seems possible that there's almost no original material here?)

In general, the editors of this article seem to be under a misconception that Wikipedia is "free advertising space". It is not that, but an encyclopedia, that has a wide variety of rules -- more or less strict (copyright violations are strictly forbidden, and subject to immediate removal). Another example of something that's not allowed is providing a price for the product.

An example of an article that does not have these problems is the BevMo! one. This article should look something like it -- and probably be not much longer. Piano non troppo (talk) 00:54, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
