Alice Walker bio

Hi, it seems you tried to get something changed in Alice Walker's bio re: her birthplace. It was changed, but then someone switched it back, so I've just undone that, and it now shows Putnam County. If you are able to get in touch with her, please let her know that subjects of biographies are very welcome to suggest edits on the talk page or even remove defaming or clearly inaccurate information from the biography itself - however it is best if they declare themselves - so for example if you work for Alice Walker, you could declare this on your userpage if you were making edits to her bio. But in any case, I always welcome contributions and suggestions from people who have biographies here, as she obviously knows her life better than any of us - but as noted at the talk page, we have to be able to source it. So, in short, if you have a way to get in touch with her, please let her know she is welcome to come post on the talk page and suggest changes - there are many people watching an editing this article and I'm sure we will be able to find a good solution.--Obi-Wan Kenobi (talk) 03:54, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
