Richard the Marshal (image attributed to William)[edit]

In my retirement, I pursued my DNA which showed 63% Great Britain. This did not differentiate between Anglo-Saxon and Norman ancestry, so I revived my interest in Medieval History, making a whole month of one page vignettes of historic personages featuring Commons images which I edited to fit the background color. My text checked original sources where possible. Your name entered at some point File:Matthew Paris - William Marshal.jpg. This Matthew of Paris artwork depicts Richard Marshal jousting in battle with Baldwin. William 1st Earl and 2nd Earl of Pembroke were already dead in 1233.
