Inferno (Dante)

Hi! I wanted to explain why the content was removed by Deor:

Why Dante Is Relevant In Today's World

The section added comes across as a persuasive essay, as you're arguing why the Inferno is still relevant to today's audiences. The title itself is something you would use for a persuasive essay as well. There is sourcing, however there are parts where you're stating what something represents in the Inferno and how this pertains to modern life, as in the statement " A lot of people go through journeys in life to overcome fears and figure out their paths." Even if this seems obvious, it is still considered to be original research to say that this shows how Inferno is still relevant. There's also some level of redundancy - this summarizes some parts of the story, which is already done earlier in the article.

You also include a section where you tell people to accept Christianity and God. This is incredibly inappropriate for a Wikipedia article since it's seen as proselytizing and is inherently non-neutral. At no point should any religion be endorsed in a Wikipedia article. We can discuss beliefs and how religion is structured on Wikipedia, but we cannot state that someone should follow a specific religious belief.

I'm concerned that the sourcing for this looks to be fairly generally about Inferno and in some cases, looks to be Dante's work itself. The only source that seems to be specifically about modern day relevancy is a Huffington Post article written by a contributor. (Contributor posts on the HuffPo do not undergo any sort of editorial oversight and are typically not seen as reliable on Wikipedia, however this is not something that I would expect you to be aware of on Wikipedia.) With something like this you need sourcing that discusses how the poem is relevant to modern day. Also, we can only summarize what authorities have stated about this specific topic area. Keep in mind that anything Dante himself said or wrote cannot be used to back up claims about modern day relevance since he wrote this very long ago and as such, would not be able to tell us (the audience and editors) how the poem is still relevant in modern day.
