You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for Sockpuppetry, as you did at Ronald Speirs. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Request reason:

I'm not exactly sure of why I am blocked other than I am a new user and if I edited in the wrong block, space or incorrect format it was done out of ignorance; in addition when I edited the ronald speirs wiki I did so from my work computer that is behind a DoD firewall; I was attempting to edit the http weblink for www.ronaldspeirs.com and was not able to figure out how to properly format the link. Once I learn to properly edit wiki articles I have documentation that will update the entry on ronald speirs Dworthensfc (talk) 15:04, 30 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

I accept your explanation and believe that you will try to follow our policies and guidelines. See below.

What is your relationship to H45blue, 62.31.155.114 and 86.41.69.51?
 — Berean Hunter (talk) 16:13, 30 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know who either of those IP's are, where they originate from or how to tell if I know them as real people. I am working with the creator of ronaldspeirs.com and have relevant data that impacts the current wikipedia entry on ronald speirs. I just right clicked and reviewed the history of the IP's you listed and they appear to be reedits after my edits or correcting my mistakes. Dworthensfc (talk) 19:46, 30 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You do know who this is as well as this. There has been meatpuppetry and sockpuppetry to edit war on the article. H45blue is 62.31.155.114. Please review the editing history of the article. You were working in tandem with that editor (your edit followed approximately 15 minutes later by their edit). Problem is that folks from ronaldspeirs.com are working in a coordinated fashion to subvert our policies and guidelines.

Thank you for the links...and your time, now I see the concern. My first edit was made on 22:14 13 Jan 2014 and my last edit on 15:40 14 Jan 2014. (I see clicking through the links that some of the other users have a shorter ban and while I would like to shout that this isn't fair I can see that it looks as though I started an edit war which was not my intention. Please don't punish me long for ignorance.)
As you can see I did not understand how to properly format the external link. The other IP's are the owners of the site www.ronaldspiers.com and they have obviously been making edits from several different IP's. I can see where the format editor 'prayer for the wild at heart' edited line 31 and the IP 62.31:: came back and undid the edit. This is followed later by H45Blue who also adds the comment about not being a fansite. On 14:59 28 Jan 2014 'Prayer for the ...' returns yet again to reedit the article. 45 minutes later IP 62.31:: is back again to reedit-incorrectly- the article once again.
You can also see in the talk section where I struggled to figure out how to sign a comment I made about Spiers awards. I am trying to show my mistakes and a concern for the policies and guidelines. I am not working with the other IP's in any deliberate way to subvert any policies or guidelines. If/when my ban is listed I will try to find someone like you to help me correctly update a page. Thank you. I've unblocked you based on your explanations. Be mindful of the conflict of interest guidelines and avoid promoting the site. You should also be aware that the site may not be used as a reliable source. When in doubt, use the article's talk page to discuss edits. I will leave a table of links below which will hopefully facilitate your navigation and editing experience.

Hello Dworthensfc, while you are waiting to be adopted you may want to look at WikiProject Military history. I believe that this is something which may interest you and you will find a good group of editors willing to help there.

Since records are your forte, you may also want to give the Albert Blithe article a look as well as the talk page. It would be good to confirm his history. Cheers,
