Welcome!

Hello, Dy 162.5, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions relating to roads. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

It appears that you have an interest in editing roads articles. For that, we have several projects (called WikiProjects) available for you: United States Roads, Canada Roads, and highways (worldwide). Feel free to join these projects, where quite a few of us have come together to collaborate.

Just as highways signs in the United States have to adhere to the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, we at Wikipedia and the United States Roads WikiProject have some standards that we request editors to follow. Please become familiar with the Wikipedia and U.S. Roads standards by checking out Wikipedia:Manual of Style and Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/Standards. Editors that do not edit U.S. road articles only need to peruse the Wikipedia Manual of Style.

Additional road article-related questions can be answered at the following links: United States, Canada, or other countries. You may also ask questions at my talk page.

Feel free to ask questions at #wikipedia-en-roads on IRC as well. Here, we have several editors who are willing to ask questions. For more information, see WP:HWY/IRC.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian and a roadfan! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username and the date. Again, welcome!
