Irish and Ulster-Scots[edit]

Hi! Thank you for your edits, however please don't add unofficial Irish and/or Ulster-Scots names to Assembly departments or councils unless they officially have one. I have reverted all cases where this applies. Those departments and councils that do have multilingual names remain untouched. Mabuska (talk) 21:18, 9 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Irish forms of names[edit]

Hi. Per the agreed manual of style (IMOS) for Northern Ireland articles, the use of Irish in the opening sentence is reserved for places where the name derives from it and is stated as such, for example: from Irish. Same for places that derive from other languages such as Strangford, which derives from Old Norse. So please refrain from adding them to places that don't derive from another language. Instead, as can be seem at Strangford, the modern Irish form can be added to the infobox. Mabuska (talk) 22:06, 26 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
