Deletion nominations[edit]

Hi, if you want to nominate something for deletion for being non-notable please use the WP:PROD or WP:AFD processes, rather than tagging the page for speedy deletion. The A7 criterion you've been tagging pages for is only for subjects which don't assert how the subject is significant, which is a lower bar to meet than notability. It's entirely possible for an article to assert significance even if the subject isn't notable. For example the article on Evan Chambers says he's a professor at the University of Michigan, which is a major university. That's an assertion of significance, even if he isn't notable, so the page doesn't quality for speedy deletion. It might be worth you spending time in some other parts of Wikipedia before you start nominating pages for deletion, it isn't a great place for new editors to start. I came here to say the same thing. I have lost count of the number of your speedy deletion nominations that I have contested. Please get a bit more familiar with Wikipedia, preferably by improving articles, before nominating any for speedy deletion, and the number that you have nominated today is too many for even an experienced editor. Hello, Im sorry for using the wrong process, I misunderstood the meaning of A7. I am working on creating a list of notable (not Wikipedia's definition) 20th/21st century composers which involves me going through every composer's wikipedia page, hence why I have submitted so many that I thought weren't noteworthy even for Wikipedia. I'll learn more about the process before submitting pages for deletion.--Eezurr (talk) 19:36, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
