I see that many of your edits have been reverted. I am one of those editors who has seen reason to revert some of your edits. Obviously, what you are doing is controversial. I just love it when foreigners like you tell what I should and shouldn't do, especially when it regards my own native language Te Reo Māori. What do you mean "Controversial", all I'm doing is making the Māori names bold using the default template:lang to give the indigenous names more recognition. Twizel[edit]

Hi, I've just reverted the 'fact' of Ruataniwha being the Māori name for Twizel. It might seems logical that it would be, (i.e Ruataniwha Station, and Lake) but I don't believe it is, or every has been applied to Twiel itself. I am just enquiring in regards to Oreti being the Maori name meaning for Lumsden. I am from Lumsden and am Maori so I am genuinely interested in where you acquired the information on this as I can't seem to find anything via the Internet it's also very difficult to gain information from anyone locally due to the township being a very European settlement . Also my partner and I are taking over a local business which will also be involving a name change, personally I would like to incorporate 'Oreti' but I would like to gain some further knowledge and more legitimate information on the history of Oreti being the Maori alternative to Lumsden. Once I've achieved that from your feedback I will be very proud to make sure all the locals know this information

Invitation to an in-person meetup in Mohua / Golden Bay[edit]

Thinking about your summer break? Think about joining other Wikipedians and Wikimedians in Golden Bay / Mohua! Details are on the meetup page. There's heaps of interesting stuff to work on e.g. the oldest extant waka or New Zealand's oldest ongoing legal case. Or you may spend your time taking photos and then upload them.

Golden Bay is hard to get to and the airline flying into Tākaka uses small planes, so we are holding some seats from and to Wellington and we are offering attendees a $200 travel subsidy to help with costs.
