Moving pages[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. File copyright problem with File:BennyBufanoBearandCubs.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:BennyBufanoBearandCubs.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 18:31, 3 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A text and some links that might be useful[edit]

Hi - I noticed that you might be taking on the hepatitis entry. I thought you might find the e-book Schiff's diseases of the liver (available via the library) to be helpful. It has several chapters on Hepatitis and you can access it totally online.

If you decide to tackle ob/gyn instead you might find Georgetown's Maternal and Child Health Library to be useful. Another source would be the Global Library of Women's Medicine. Both of these resources are open to the public.

Please let me know if I can be of any help. Lauren maggio (talk) 02:01, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Great point about using open review articles. I was thinking Schiff's would just provide some background. I also did some additional digging and found an open access textbook Hepatology 2013. I honestly did not dig too deeply into the text, but it has hepatitis coverage. There is also an international author list and they seem to do a good job referencing their material. Just another option. Lauren maggio (talk) 21:11, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes if open sources are just as good using them is an excellent idea. A number of open source books however are simply copied from Wikipedia :-) This being an example [1] Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your page reply on mine) 00:37, 26 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edits[edit]

They are looking good :-) In this one here [2] you are using review articles from the last 5 or so years.[3],[4]. They are properly cited.

You have replaced lists with prose. This is really good progress. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your page reply on mine) 20:06, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you![edit]

The Original Barnstar
So far great work. If you bring this to GA and can manage to keep the languages generally accessible to a lay reader we will send it off for translation into 60 or so languages per [5] Keep up the good work. An idea[edit]

To make 80 g of alcohol interpretable to readers you might consider adding something about how that translate to their spirit of choice. See http://www.cdc.gov/alcohol/faqs.htm#standDrink. Emwhitaker 19:21, 5 December 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Emwhitaker (talkcontribs)

Feedback![edit]

Sorry this is a bit late. I wrote in my notes that I was supposed to give feedback to someone else. Anyway... First off, I think you have done a great job tightening up this article and adding important details. The diagnosis section looks great, and I am so impressed by the way you describe your edits in the history. Its so easy to understand every change you made at each time point, and it definitely is going to inspire my approach to the edit summary as I continue working on my page beyond this elective. One constructive suggestion I can make is to wikilink to neonatal hepatitis under the giant cell hepatitis subsection in your causes section. Also there is a wikilink in the pathology section, specific cases subsection to a page that doesn't exist (van Gieson stains) so maybe it could be un-wikilinked. There is also a referral to HCC in the "see also" section but I didn't see any references to it within the article, so you could mention the connection between HCC and hepatitis somewhere in the viral hepatitidies section. Just a thought. Overall I think you have done a lot to improve the article. Great work!! LaurenSMS4 (talk) 01:47, 13 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much, LaurenSMS4! I'll go through and make these edits. Emhawkins (talk) 16:49, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 21[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Hepatitis, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Immunity (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
