Welcome[edit]

Hello, Eternities, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not yet been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. As well, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Shirt58 (talk) 09:48, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Space Thunder Kids has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Completely unsourced. Fails WP:GNG.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. When adding stuff to articles[edit]

When you add info to articles, find a source or make sure what you want to say is mentioned in existing sources. Otherwise, your edits will be reverted. TheStickMan[✆Talk] 19:44, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

wikiHow[edit]

Hey, thanks for trying to make the wikiHow article more readable. I reverted because a line break to create lists generally isn't the standard style practice. If you want to give it another stab, this page might be helpful as a guide. Cheers, Steven Walling 00:08, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Comment on reverted edits in article "Hyphen"[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, several of your recent edits, such as those you made to Hyphen, Traditional heavy metal, Gigantosaurus, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (film), Heavy metal music, Dream, Beatles and others, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 12:33, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

September 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Farce, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. bodnotbod (talk) 13:32, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:Wolf.png[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Wolf.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Stefan2 (talk) 22:02, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Wolf.png.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:39, 4 April 2012 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 22:39, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 10[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Gazpacho (band), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page New wave (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Current/Past Members of the Beatles[edit]

US[edit]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to US (disambiguation). Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. LittleWink (talk) 19:05, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please be careful changing genres in music articles[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you to seek consensus for certain edits. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 13:48, 23 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree File:Latex wolf mask.png[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Latex wolf mask.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 20:17, 24 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
