Oricon Combined charts[edit]

If you wish to include Oricon's combined statistics on Wikipedia, you can create separate articles listing them. They are separate charts from the main (physical) charts, so they should have separate list pages. You have added archived links in the standard url= parameter and cited each website as being web.archive.org, when the actual website being archived is Oricon. This was poorly integrated, even if done using VisualEdit.

I don't know why several editors, including yourself, are apparently so fixated on adding the combined/overall charts that you consider to now be Oricon's "main" chart when the amount of weeks that something has been different on the Combined charts in the last two years is 5–10 weeks out of the whole 52 weeks of the year, and that's only when an act like Yoasobi or Creepy Nuts most recently have had a breakthrough digital single. And those usually end up being number one on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, which has its own number-one list articles series already. Outside of those exceptions, the unit differences from the actual physical sales are so irrelevant or minute (sometimes <1000 difference from the physical sales) it's not even worth documenting.

I created the last several Oricon number-one lists, and I have a standard of citation I am maintaining on them. While I, like any other editor, welcome constructive changes because nobody owns articles, I don't want to spend inordinate amounts of time fixing mangled archived citations and removing repeated links in a column for the combined chart number one, which I don't even consider relevant when any digital number ones are usually number ones on the Japan Hot 100 anyway. WP:BRD applies, so do not edit war to retain your changes, and if you are so intent on including the Combined chart statistics, create separate articles to list them. Thank you.
