Geography sections[edit]

Hi Exec. Remember that if there is a "Geography" section, both Barangays and Climate are subsections of that (Level 3 heading), see Wikipedia:WikiProject Cities/Settlements: Article structure and WP:MOSPHIL. Thanks. -- P 1 9 9   15:01, 28 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Content Translation Inquiry[edit]

Hello @Exec8:, may I know if you are still working on the Tagalog translation for en:Universal Declaration of Human Rights? I'm asking this because I received a prompt from the Content Translation Tool stating that the article is one of your translations in progress. If you are not longer interested in completing the translation, please let me know as I would like to complete it for the meta:WikiForHumanRights project. Thank you! --Tagasalinero (talk) 10:51, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Tagasalinero: please proceed. I will be very busy for Wikimania. --Exec8 (talk) 11:24, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Article order[edit]

Hi Exec8. Please read Wikipedia:WikiProject Cities/Settlements: Article structure (which was adopted by WikiProject Philippines). If there is something you want to change, discuss this first on Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines before making unilateral changes. Thanks. -- P 1 9 9   03:49, 6 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop messing up the article order as you did with the Leyte municipalities! I have asked this before! Did you actually read WP:CITSTRUCT? If you don't agree with it, discuss first on Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines. -- P 1 9 9   15:50, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

March 2020[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Capas, Tarlac. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Romblon weather[edit]

Bad idea to change the actual measured climate data from PAGASA with data from Meteoblue based in Switzerland, as you did in this edit! Their data is nothing more than calculated or interpolated data. I wouldn't even use it at all for PH articles!

And shame on you for continuing to rearrange the Barangay and Climate sections out of the Geography section (and even other sections I've seen). For someone who is experienced as you in WP culture, you're lack of cooperation (or just even discussion) is surprising and troubling. Very disappointing. -- P 1 9 9   13:54, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I am going to offer my opinion on this since I originally added the climate data. The problem with the Meteoblue source is that it is modelled data and is not reliable. As well, in your edits, you literally removed the record temperatures and humidity info and truncated the weather box. Record temperatures and humidity are a standard feature in major cities around the world; there is no rationale in deleting it and replacing it with a lower quality source. When I edited the climate data of many cities in the Philippines to add data from PAGASA, it was difficult to find good quality sources that had a lot of info for the Philippines. Please do not replace climate data from official sources like PAGASA with lower quality sources. Thanks. Ssbbplayer (talk) 16:27, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edit reversion[edit]

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. ArbCom 2019 election voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:05, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks![edit]

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!

A tag has been placed on File:Candelaria Zambales.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
