Revision to Wonder Girl[edit]

Hello, firstly I want to start out by saying I loved the reformatted version of Wonder Girl's entry. It looks far better than what was previously on the page. I wanted to state my reason (in person) for switching around the pics on her entry. The Titans Annual pic that you placed in the character box is a beautiful piece of art (one I did not delete) but does not feature the character of the entry prominenatly enough. I placed it near superboy and moved the previous picture (which focuses on Cassie) back. I hope you will understand my reasoning for this. Dstorres

infinite crisis[edit]

First question; who's "we" ? Second, are you an editor? Third, the huge block of text is very ugly. I doubt any casual observer will actually read through all of that. I merely added bold titles indicating which events took place in each issue. Its a typographic technique, breaking text into sections makes reading and the overall layout more interesting. Ask any graphics major.

infinite crisis[edit]

Yes, you are right, I did not consult the discussion board before marking the issue separations. It seems that there is a conflict of opinion there and mine just seems to differ. I didn't see anyone in a rush to alter what I did. If someone thinks that the separators are a horrible thing they will simply be removed; I can live with that.

Sorting the information by issue number or plot changes is also a matter of opinion. One design major to another, I think your idea of what is 'preferable' is another 'possible' way to sort the information, we simply choose to sort the info different ways. Change the entry if you want; I get the feeling from the 40$ a week comics habit that you take this more seriously than I do. As for my extentions, the last time I checked it is fully in line with the rules to revise unclear writing or bad sentence structure. I made the content more clear; if you really want you can check the previous version in the archive and compare the two. I even chopped most of section 6 down to make for a more concise 'synposis'.

Lastly, I checked out 'That Handsome Devil'. Funny. Nice use of After Effects.

Power Girl Image[edit]

Greetings, was curious if you had a bigger image of that Alex Ross Powergirl image you did? Dstorres

Superboy Prime image[edit]

Hey.

For starters, I hope it doesn't look like I'm just reverting my own images again (and anyway, the image in question I didn't upload; it was uploaded by another user as a JPG. I just cleaned it up as a PNG).

Anyway, I think you did a good job cropping the image. I think the problem was that Prime's black hair blends into the background, so it's difficult to know where to crop it. As a result, pieces of his hair looked a little sharp/bumpy, imo. Also, the image itself cropped off pieces of his body, so it looks weird without the background. --DrBat 00:38, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

sweet. thanks for the feedback Exvicious 00:40, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Request[edit]

Could you do an edit of Zatanna (removing the background images) from the Catwoman #58 cover (their is a pic of it on Zatanna's entry but I have a bigger and better one)??? Dstorres

Wonder Woman[edit]

Hi there! I wonder if you could crop a Wonder Woman image just like you did in Zatanna's? This is the image I have in mind [1]. Cheers, —Lesfer (talk/@) 16:34, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You have to do just as I did in Zatanna's pic. Summary and proper licensing. —Lesfer (talk/@) 17:47, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, it looks great, man! Actually, IMO, it looks even better than the current Wonder Woman pic. Thanks! —Lesfer (talk/@) 02:53, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Luthor[edit]

You can crop the white space out if you want; I don't know how to remove it without leaving the gap there. What crystal image are you referring to? --DrBat 22:38, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Do you want to make that the main SHB pic, or have it somewhere else in the article?
Also, if you want the full version of the image (as opposed to the cropped one), its here. http://comicsnewsi.net/g/?mode=view&album=DC%2Fsolicitations%2FMay_2006&pic=ActionComicsCv839.jpg&dispsize=800&start=0 --DrBat 22:59, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Do you want the full version, or the cut version? --DrBat 00:04, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kara[edit]

That pic is fine, but there is really no need to crop the background since it is only the sky and not cluttered with alot of access scenery.

I see that you added a CfD tag to the category but didn't list it in Wikipedia:Categories for Deletion. I want to vote to keep it, but can't until you finish the listing process. CovenantD 01:25, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New Phoenix Pic[edit]

I realize you've just had a vote and while I did not know about it I feel that this image: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:PhoenixES1v.jpg better suits the character pic. Would you back me up on this (calling for a new vote?).

Feel free to look at the history for Jean Grey, I kept the Montage pic, I just moved it to the article (since it seemed to fit better there). Dstorres

Image tagging for Image:Rvdecwwwe.jpg[edit]

You have marked the file Image:Rvdecwwwe.jpg, which has been uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons, as a fair use screenshot. I have re-uploaded to Wikipedia, because fair use images are not permitted on Commons. However, the image description page doesn't specify where it came from, and images with missing source information can be deleted after a week. If you know more details about the image, could you please correct the problem?

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Thank you. Regards, Mike Rosoft 13:00, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks. I have just discovered that the image is already on Wikipedia (Image:Rvdworldchampions.jpg), so I have copied your description there, and nominated the other one for deletion. - Mike Rosoft 21:40, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Given that the name-change of the series is not official, I have a serious problem with your changing the article's title. Personally, I think you have made the move much too soon. --Mhking 01:05, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Ultimate Merge[edit]

I'm not a crazy comic reader, but I think the Ultimate universe has expanded enough to warrant Ultimate character articles on Wikipedia. Obviously the best place to begin is with Ultimate title characters like Spider-Man or Daredevil. After that, it becomes more discretionary, depending on the amount of material on the subject. My 2 cents. --Madchester 15:45, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge the Bitches[edit]

(guess who I'm paraphrasing, hehe) I say yes, Supergirl is Kara. Currently, that's how DC intends it to be. And for the public, I don't think regular people even know there was a Matrix supergirl. Heck I don't think regular people even know or care for the Kara Zor-El name, all they know is Supergirl is the blonde young cousin of superman. And that's Kara, the only supergirl and superman cousin in current continuity. So, merge, by all means, merge.--The Judge 06:49, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

When you add a merge template to a comics article, please be sure to start a merge discussion and list it at [WP:CMC/NB|the notice board]]. --Chris Griswold () 14:44, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Comics Cleanup[edit]

You are one of the best editors working on comics-related articles on Wikipedia. I'd like to inite you to join the new WikiProject I've started: WikiProject Comics Cleanup. Similarly to how the WP:CMC collaboration works to elevate articles to Featured Article status, the primary goal of this new project is to coordinate group cleanup efforts on articles, copy editing, condensing, and providing citations where needed. The secondary goal is to remind good editors that there are other good editors who have the same goals.

This will also help prepare articles for Wikipedia 1.0 assessment, a project I am currently working on pulling together for WP:CMC. I'd really appreciate your membership, but I do understand if you find yourself to be too busy to participate. --Chris Griswold () 18:58, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Notability (comedy)[edit]

I've created Wikipedia:Notability (comedy) to help editors in deciding the notability of comedy- and humor-related articles. You are an editor whom I respect and admire. I would appreciate any commentary you may be able to provide to help hammer it into shape. --Chris Griswold () 09:05, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! With the best will in the world, this RfA is not going to turn around to a successful conclusion. I recommend that you take the advice that has been given onboard and use it as a positive way of improving your contributions to Wikipedia. Don't think of it as a failure, it is more a way of guiding you towards a successful editing career here. Just replace I accept my nomination with I withdraw my nomination. You can try again when you have more experience in admin-related duties. Regards, (aeropagitica) 23:16, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Request for Adminship[edit]

It is my regretful task to inform you that I have closed your request for adminship early as unlikely to achieve consensus. Please do not be discouraged; a number of users have had their first RfA end without consensus, but have been promoted overwhelmingly in a later request. Please continue to make outstanding contributions to Wikipedia, and consider requesting adminship again in the future. You may find Wikipedia:Guide to requests for adminship helpful in deciding when to consider running again. If I can be of any help to you, please do not hesitate to ask.
