July 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Fort Brooke, Puerto Rico, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. | Uncle Milty | talk | 02:45, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am a contributor to the article, not the creator (Fort Brooke (talk) 02:47, 31 July 2010 (UTC))[reply]
Sorry. You are correct on that point. However, the majority of the text on the page is lifted directly from the copyrighted text at the link in the original notice, in violation of WP:COPYVIO --| Uncle Milty | talk | 03:07, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Let me run through this article first so that I may improve and resolve the issue (Fort Brooke (talk) 03:09, 31 July 2010 (UTC))[reply]
Thanks. Will do. --| Uncle Milty | talk | 03:10, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You contribute using Safari on an iPhone, how hard is it, do you know something I don't (Fort Brooke (talk) 03:28, 31 July 2010 (UTC))[reply]

Hello, Fort Brooke. As you have recently started editing Fort Brooke, Puerto Rico, and have added material that clearly indicates that Fort Brooke and Fort San Felipe del Morro are, in fact, the same place, and since we already have an article on Fort San Felipe, do you have any objections to simply redirecting the Fort Brooke page to the Fort San Felipe page. Any extra information you have about the fort can be added there. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 12:11, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there, I haven't finished yet, I believe Fort Brooke has another history of its own, I will get back to that argument pretty soon, it was a very significant (and highly unique) camp location for the US Army & Navy, completely independent of the space where it once belonged, it was destroyed and quickly brought down during the Lyndon Johnson administration when the local democratic party was in power, the buildings and clubs over the field, the pool was completely eliminated together with the golf course, the whole scenario over at Fort Brooke resembled some sort of World Fair Manifesto for the community of Old San Juan in terms of internationality and global exposure, the real cause for Old San Juan to be left out (rundown and ignored) for the next four decades or so. It was also a new beginning for a prolonged wave of crime, drug trafficking and gang fighting between young people from other sectors in the metropolitan area of San Juan. Plus... all the bad urban planning in that location in regards to the new buildings that where created under the wrong hands of architects, engineers and construction workers of the era. I will also be revealing some important information about submarine activity surrounding the area during the years of Fort Brooke and sea ocean laws in regards to the West Indies in the Caribbean Basin. Need two more days. Regards, (Fort Brooke (talk) 16:42, 31 July 2010 (UTC))[reply]
It sounds like you have quite a story to tell. However, it also sounds like you might have a bit of an axe to grind. Please remember that all additions to Wikipedia must be properly sourced. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 12:39, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Will do, sourced. Talk to you soon (Fort Brooke (talk) 22:12, 1 August 2010 (UTC))[reply]

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Condado Beach[edit]

The name of the Beach is not as important as finding and citing a source to back up your article. If you find a reliable source that says Playita del Condado, then you can write an article about it as long as its cited. Remember that your statements in the article should also be encyclopedic versus opinionated. Hope this Helps!QuazGaa 01:04, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
