Spiked[edit]

I wrote this on the talk page for Spiked:

The 'accusations of entryism' subheading is seriously weird. 'Entryism' was a word used to describe members of Trotskyists groups entering the Labour Party while seeking to subvert its political direction. But since "media, communications and science networks" are not political parties, nor membership organisations at all, it isn't actually possible to operate a policy of 'entryism' - and further, since the website Spiked is not a membership organisation, it is not obvious how one would instruct its non-members to join networks that are not themselves membership organisations. The putative 'LM network' that Mr Monbiot sees is not really the subject of the article, which, according to its headline is the Spiked website. I suggest this whole section should be removed, and invite comment from FrFintonStack, Apistogramma and others Murray McDonald (talk) 21:49, 17 May 2012 (UTC) Wouldn't you say Monbiot's allegations are WP:CB FrFrinton? Alasdair Gray[edit]

I'm sorry I reverted out your good-faith addition. I see you were not logged in when you made both edits, but contributing as User:86.0.203.120. This, and the unsourced nature of your contribution, influenced my decision to revert it. If you remember to log in, provide an edit summary, and/or raise it in talk, you will increase the likelihood of your contributions being taken seriously. --Guinnog 18:40, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tram stop[edit]

Hi, the article Nottingham Trent University tram stop has been deleted by Kungfuadam (talk · contribs) on 3 January (deletion log), apparently as unencyclopaedic, which I'd actually agree on (tram stops are not very good topics for an encyclopaedia). I've removed the redirect. - sucrose (C12H22O11) 12:41, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Melanie Phillips[edit]

Just thought I'd draw your attention to a conversation over at Talk:Melanie Phillips concerning the deletion of one of your contributions about global warming. (I support the deletion but I thought you might want to have a say.) Sideshow Bob Roberts 17:15, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Johann hari page[edit]

Hi, my name's DavidR, we had a brief exchange when we were both editing the Spiked Online page togther.

I don't know if you can help but some guy who passionately hates Johann Hari has been trying to edit his entry for ages in a pretty horrifying way. he desribes Hari as "a self-publicising careerist and an especially unpleasant one at that", and he's currently ignoring the clear instructions of three wiki administrators to not include libellous Private Eye allegations against Hari. If you could come over to the page I'd be really grateful... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.157.118.58 (talk) 23:07, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Following the information regarding the identity of DavidR that emerged around the time of the Johann Hari plagiarism controversy, I want to publically state that I did not act on this suggestion, and that no further communication took place between my account and his.FrFintonStack (talk) 01:40, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Haredi Judaism[edit]

Why this? I particularly dislike fly-by tagging. If you see a contradiction here, then please explain it to me and I'll handle it. --Piz d'Es-Cha (talk) 15:27, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Probably correct, but any chance of a source?[edit]

Hi, out of interest have a printed source for this? In ictu oculi (talk) 04:25, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for November 17[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Roland TB-303, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Orange Juice (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
