Welcome to Wikipedia![edit]

Dear Fuzzyred: Welcome to Wikipedia, a free and open-content encyclopedia. I hope you enjoy contributing. To help get you settled in, I thought you might find the following pages useful:

Don't worry too much about being perfect. Very few of us are! Just in case you are not perfect, click here to see how you can avoid making common mistakes.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user talk (discussion) page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. A third option is to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator.

One last bit of advice: please sign any discussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into your signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. If you need any help just let me know. Once again welcome to Wikipedia, and don't forget to tell us about yourself and be BOLD!   -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 20:52, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

December 2007[edit]

Please do not use talk pages such as Talk:Colton Ford for general discussion of the topic. They are for discussion related to improving the article. They are not to be used as a forum or chat room. See here for more information. Thank you. Otto4711 (talk) 18:15, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK!
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Raging Stallion Studios. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. — Rudget speak.work 17:50, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aaron Lawrence[edit]

Hi Fuzzyred, I noticed that you were suggesting deletion of the Aaron Lawrence article, which led kingboyk to add a 'prod' notation. FYI, I have removed this and added a response on Aaron's notability. Jay*Jay (talk) 03:16, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If the subject has notability and there are ways to expand the article then by all means go for it!

February 2008[edit]

  • Barresi's IP is off block in a few short hours. Is he going to write degrading and insulting things about me again...? He always manages to snake in a sock puppet to write something nasty about me... how much longer do I have to put up with this abuse?Fuzzyred (talk) 18:28, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop taunting. That's a user behavior policy violation. If you taunt or bait Barresi or anyone else, we're going to hold you accountable for it.
Please review: WP:CIVIL, WP:NPA, and WP:HARASS. Thank you. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 05:41, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I am not sure how I will be "held accountable" but I do not hate anyone. Where did you get that idea. If you view the history of my page and others you will see numerous degrading and abusive comments towards me signed: Paul Barresi. I do not hate him. I just want him to stop harassing me. I do not even know the man. I would appreciate further details on how you feel I would be able to handle the situation and any future situations that might occur. I have made no theats or demands and have kept my fears to my own talk page and directed them to administrators as appropriate. Who is Georgwilliamherbert anyhow? Thank you. Fuzzyred (talk) 07:14, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I would strongly urge you to cease editing the Paul Baresi article and talk page, if you genuinely wish this chap to stop getting annoyed at you. Wikipedia isn't a game, taunting editors and continually complaining about sockpuppetry in such a way that you're actually encouraging a user to use sockpuppets in order to respond is rather unhelpful. There's no need for you to continue this crusade against Barresi and if you don't cease, you will, as Georgewilliamherbert says above, be held accountable for much of the disruption being caused. Nick (talk) 12:14, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Georgwilliamherbert is an admin, as is Nick, as am I. If you don't have any hard feelings then don't post baiting, provocative comments like you did at the start of this section. And if you do have hard feelings then you've got no business touching the bio. I think it might be helpful if you did stop editing the article for at least a while anyway. Some animosity seems to have developed here and what you're doing doesn't seem to helping. I understand that the subject has posted some abusive comments, but think for a second how you might feel in a similar situation, if people were writing an article about you that shows up in the number one spot on Google searches of your name, that contains information you think is not true. Think about it for a minute...then stop baiting the man. I checked your talk page history and was prepared to sprotect if necessary but I see there hasn't been any IP activity here since Feb 1, so I don't think its necessary. Blocked[edit]

I have blocked you as a disruptive single purpose account and for violating our policy on living individuals. The article Paul Barresi (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) has been subject to gross violations of policy for some time, and your behaviour shows strong evidence of an agenda against Barresi, including taunting him on the talk page, which is completely unacceptable. You may be able to persuade an administrator to unblock you if you undertake not to edit that article or any related subject, or to repeat your aggressive and uncivil comments towards Barresi on talk pages or elsewhere. If you are prepared to give such an undertaking then you may request an unblock by adding {{unblock|your unblock request}} tot his talk page. I am discussing this with Jimmy Wales right now, the problem you have caused is non-trivial and it is causing significant work to clean it up. You have done quite enough for one article.
