March 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm Katieh5584. I noticed that you recently removed all content from Miracle Valley, Arizona, with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the page's content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Katieh5584 (talk) 17:31, 30 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 28[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Edgewood, Pennsylvania, Whitehall, Pennsylvania and Ben Avon, Pennsylvania (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Reverted San Mateo County[edit]

While Census-designated places may technically be true, I have never heard anyone refer to these communities as such. They are always referred to as "unincorporated communities". I have recently been doing a fair amount of work with the County both on their Open Data portal and taking their Civics101 class. Never heard "Census-designated places" used. Robert.Harker (talk) 20:22, 16 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I know Census-designated places are just used in census population counting every 10 years. It wouldnt be used as the title of the community. I am from Pennsylvania, we have 67 counties, in each of those counties we have either a Town, a Borough or a City. We also have the county broken up into Townships, which are large blocky areas of sporatic populations. In some cases larger communities build up, but do not have government, so the U.S. Census determines these places as census-designated places, for the purpose of counting population only. East Los Angeles, California is the largest CDP in the U.S.

Demographic data[edit]

I noticed you are updating the demographic data on several US towns. Please note that when you change the number, you need to update the source citing that number. At Lenhartsville, Pennsylvania, you changed the number based on information elsewhere in the article, but left an invalid source. Please stop doing this. Thanks.
