OpenEmu version log[edit]

Hi Gh0sti100, I just saw your edit to OpenEmu scroll by and I think you might want to remove the version history as per WP:INDISCRIMINATE. Exhaustive version histories should not be included unless something in the article specifically requires them. I'm not going to revert your edit, because you might have a use for the table in mind. If you don't, I'd recommend removing the table altogether. Thanks! Jergling (talk) 21:09, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jergling, I added a collapse-able table where i moved stuff into to make it look better, is that OK? Thanks!

I'm not sure, honestly. I'm not much of a wikilaywer, but I don't see version histories on other major software projects (Blender 3d for instance). Based on the WP:INDISCRIMINATE page, I'd say you might want to pare it down to only things that the article requires. Keep entries that explain when and how compatibility was added (since it's relevant to the section on supported systems) but try to clean out the boilerplate bugfixes and performance improvements. Again, I'm not an authority and I don't want to mess with your work-in-progress here, so take this with a grain of salt. Have a good day, Jergling (talk) 03:09, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at IOS version history, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Class377 (talk) 21:27, 31 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

How do you want me to source the updates? 10.1.1 and 10.2 dropped today, I usually get my stuff from 9to5mac or macrumors.

None of the other updates have required sources before for update information. So I don't understand why your policing me now over this.

Feel free to add the version history back in, it seems like all the other editors do is edit war, or make bogus claims of copyright © violations. Deleting is easier than contributing. 😒 --1.55.183.244 (talk) 14:20, 12 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
