Your submission at Articles for creation: Columbia Mill (March 27)[edit]

The reason left by 力 was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: Unlike the mills listed in "See also" that are on the National Register of Historic Places, this place was destroyed in the 20th century.

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Please do not add "red-linked" (uncreated) categories to articles. Always create the category page if you're going to add it. Read WP:CAT for more information. Thank you, JackFromWisconsin (talk | contribs) 16:36, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Categories[edit]

I've noticed that you have been adding categories to a many of the Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, mill-related articles. Please familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's categorization conventions: Wikipedia:Categorization. You might especially want to read the subcategorization section. For example, on Milwaukee Falls Lime Company you don't need to include in the separate categorizes for "Quarries", "Quarries in the United States", and "Quarries in Wisconsin". "Quarries in Wisconsin" is a subcategory of "Quarries in the United States," which in turn is a subcategory of "Quarries". Try to put pages into the most specific categories possible in order to prevent category overpopulation, which makes the encyclopedia much harder for users to navigate. Cheers, CoatGuy (talk) 20:11, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Washington County "Island" Effigy Mound District, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ... discospinster talk 01:53, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edit to Mequon, Wisconsin[edit]

Thank you for your recent edit to Mequon, Wisconsin. A quick note: we should probably add in a line in the article's prose about Mequon being a sundown town before categorizing it as such. As a rule, categories tend to follow what's in the prose (and the list of citations for the prose). I'm going to go ahead and make the addition, but feel free to edit my addition. And if you added these categories to other Wisconsin towns, you might want to add a sentence or two the history or politics section. Cheers, CoatGuy2 (talk) 21:41, 30 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
