Welcome[edit]

Welcome!

Hello, Gonezales, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits have not conformed to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV), and have been reverted. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

Neutral point of view[edit]

Hi Gonezales! I see you wish to contribute to Wikipedia, and we appreciate your help. However, could I ask you to please read up on Wikipedia:Neutral point of view: Wikipedia is meant to be written from a point of view that is neutral, no matter how wrong we find this to be. Edits like [1] and [2] are not neutral, but read more like an editorial. The Evil Spartan (talk) 06:28, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome to edit the sections, however they should not be deleted, they are an important part of his presidency. --Gonezales (talk) 06:30, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Three revert rule[edit]

I will not patronize you with a templated warning for a three revert rule violation (you can find the text here), but please understand, that if you revert one more time, it will be 4 reversions in a 24 hour period, and policy dictates this involve a 24 hour block. The Evil Spartan (talk) 06:39, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by inserting commentary or your personal analysis into an article, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Please also do not use the talk page as a forum. DiligentTerrier and friends 18:55, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry but I don't have any personal analysis. I'm only looking for the truth. What was it that Jack Nicholson said, "the truth? You can't handle the truth." What good is an encyclopedia if it doesn't include the truth? --Gonezales (talk) 19:00, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. DiligentTerrier and friends 20:03, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nope. I wanted to add a new section to GWB and it got deleted. That was hours and hours and hours ago. Right now I'm just looking up references. I'm expecting someone else to write the section. --Gonezales (talk) 20:07, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not use talk pages such as Talk:George W. Bush for general discussion of the topic. They are for discussion related to improving the article. They are not to be used as a forum or chat room. See here for more information. Thank you. Jaysweet (talk) 20:37, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 21:54, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The 3RR rule, and request regarding my Talk page[edit]

The 3RR rule states "An editor must not perform more than three reverts" in a day (emphasis added). So if you counted three reverts (as you did), that means I am not in violation of 3RR. And in any case, I was removing an external link that was both irrelevant to the topic and linked to a copyright violation, so 3RR didn't apply to what I was doing anyway. The admins agree, as you can see Uconnstud is blocked, while his bad-faith 3RR report on me was rejected completely.

Also, please do not leave comments for me on my Talk page anymore. I don't think there is anything useful you have to say to me, so I will be removing any future comments from you on my Talk page. Thanks in advance for your compliance! --Jaysweet (talk) 13:20, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
